MODERN ARCHITECTURE IN PARIS
I was recently in Paris, to review some project information. I was amazed with the combination of the Old and Modern structures inter-mixed in the City.
You have to be in Paris to enjoy the moment, and see for yourself. Enjoy rest of the silde

Cité de La Mode et du Design / Jakob + Macfarlane
- 14400 square meters (4 levels)
- Made of steel and green mesh structure for better insulation, ventilation, and cooling
- Used as a gallery/museum
Fondation Cartier / Jean Nouvel
- Glass “curtain wall” on all 4 sides acting as windows and mirrors reflecting the sky and cityscape
- Ground floor used for exhibitions
Tour Granite / Christian de Portzamparc
- a triangular site and takes a dual form: a dihedral that forms the front of the complex, and prism-shaped flanks
- sloping roof accentuate its height, reinforcing its strong presence
Novancia business school /AS.Architecture-Studio
- accommodates 1500 students
- 3 amphitheatres
- 260-seat auditorium
- Recording studio
- Glass facades composed of mobile vertical shutters with coloured printed glass
The Phare/ Morphosis Architects
- “Light house Tower”
- 71 floors- 1,400,000 sq. ft.- Designed to be a
green building (environmentally responsible and resource efficient throughout building’s life cycle)
