Excellence in training to enhance customer satisfaction The BOURBON Training Centers: an integrated global network

WEBNEWS - BOURBON regularly strengthens its network of international training through the BOURBON Training centers, implementing over the past few years, a training policy on trades, management and support personal development. These centers, located close to the regions where the Group recruits or operates, train experienced and newly recruited employees to BOURBON standards. They assist in ensuring a consistently high level of service quality. The 13 BOURBON Training Centers are able to deliver a wide range of training and most of them are equipped with a simulator:

- Marseille and Singapore: anchor handling operations for oil platforms (AHTS vessels) and refueling operations (PSV);

- China: technical training technology and equipment installed on diesel-electric new series of ships, like the Bourbon Liberty;

- France (Marseilles), Nigeria, Congo, Cameroon, Gabon, Brazil, Indonesia and Angola: 8 centers dedicated to piloting waterjet-propulsion crewboats;

- Italy (Ravenna) for piloting ROVs (Remote Operated Vehicle) operations within Subsea; - Manila: training center mastering the Dynamic Positioning (DP), delivering international

certifications. Each BOURBON simulation program has been specifically developed to reflect the actual conditions of the BOURBON fleet operations, integrating the technical characteristics of vessels, the standard of operations and safety of the Group, and the standards of the customer. Ensuring a high level of training for all employees is part of the BOURBON strategy. In 2010, 298 employees have been trained. Frank Dambrin, Senior Vice President – Fleet Management Marine and Subsea Services, declared: "The deployment of BOURBON Training Centers, partnerships with existing centers and the formation of a large portfolio of training are a major investment, essential to achieving our quality objectives and professionalism. These are key factors for success to deliver to all our customers a consistently high level of quality service.”
