Treatment Title: Melancholia Writer: Hafsa Amir Characters: Dave & Melissa Dave: A depressed young boy who lost his parents way back in his childhood. Now his girlfriend dies too; in a car accident. He is left alone with nobody but his darkness. Melissa: Young and full of life. Dave’s girlfriend and his only support. Dies in a car accident. Plot: Dave just couldn’t keep his mind from getting into the past. -Flashback- it was a pleasant day with the sky brimming up with clouds. Dave walked hand in hand with Melissa on the rooftop. They are talking, laughing and smiling. So satisfied with life. Melissa left for her job; they were the happiest couple alive until the day she got hit by a car. - Flashback ends- Now Dave is sitting in his room. Tears rolling down his frail cheeks. Everything is messed up. As he is a diehard music fan, there are several posters on the wall. All these posters are torn apart. There is a broken vase on the floor. The bed-sheet is messed up. There is a study table on the corner where there’s a frame with Melissa’s picture in it. There are a few pills scattered on the table. A lamp with yellow bulb is lit up. Dave walks over to the study table, and picks up the frame gripping it so tight. A teardrop falls on the glass of the frame. Dave screams. Takes out a gun from his drawer with hands shaking terribly, tears rolling down and eyes shut tightly he puts the gun to his head.

Plot:

Dave just couldn’t keep his mind from getting into the past.

-Flashback-it was a pleasant day with the sky brimming up with clouds. Dave walked hand in hand with Melissa on the rooftop. They are talking, laughing and smiling. So satisfied with life. Melissa left for her job; they were the happiest couple alive until the day she got hit by a car. - Flashback ends-
