It made landfall on 8 November, 2013 in Philippines and caused at least 6000 deaths and displaced over 3.6 million people. Haiyan is considered to be one of the strongest storms that ever made a landfall as the 13-foot storm surge and 235-mph winds tore through the coastal cities and devastated the region’s infrastructure.

Hurricanes Manuel and Ingrid
A massive tornado made a landfall in the Oklahoma City on May 20, 2013. It was packed with 200-mph winds, travelling at a 12-mile path. The twister spread disaster killing at least 24 people and destroying 2 elementary schools. It was reported that around 10 tornadoes hit North Texas a week before, leaving behind 6 dead and affecting over 15,000 people. •
