Public Art Program
2 Fort Hayes Submissions
FORT HAYES METROPOLITAN EDUCATION
A-1 & A-2 Window Frame
This design revolves around the idea of the poppy, celebrating an installation created by students over the past two years. Students have been working on an interdisciplinary unit, creating a 1500 ceramic, red poppy installation that honors the impact of Fort Hayes as a military base and the impact it continues to make today as an educational institution. Shortly, more than 500 will be auctioned o in an eort to raise money to support returning veterans, again tying the past with the present.
INSPIRING PUBLIC ART IN YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD
For almost two years, local artists worked with COTA, the Greater Columbus Arts Council, Columbus College of Art & Design, Columbus Art Commission, area commissions, elected ofcials and community leaders to develop designs that reect the culture and history of the diverse neighborhoods along Cleveland Avenue.
• Artwork will be incorporated into transparent panels on rear shelter glass
• 33 CMAX stations between Columbus State & Northland community
Poppy ower inspired design celebrates the installation created by students, which honors the impact of Fort Hayes as a military base and the impact it continues to make today as an
educational institution.
