This initiative has 15 programs that work ontwo parallel branches:The promotion and the tourism and the city:• The city hall has explained that the idea is
to decentralize the historic center, and topromote the areas of Montjuic andForum.
• New routes will be design, in order to helporganize the flow of tourists.
• Barcelona will become the door toCatalunya, and not only a place of passage.
• A set of complete packages will be offered;on which there will be a combination ofcity activities and off cities routes.
• The cruise flows will be administrated,reinforcing transport and previewing theirschedules.

EXTENSION ON PROHIBITION OF STREET DRINKING (2014)
The administration approved the extension of prohibition of street drinking. The legislation is now extended to plastic cups and tetrabrickpackaging,
As a result of the “PLAN DE USOS”;establishments were inspected. If foundselling fast food items, when their license onlyallows them to sell goods, the city hall willclose their stores. 12 out of the 21 localsinspected, will end up closing, for not havingthe proper license.
The main goal of this inspections, is the fight against disloyalcompetition between this stores and bars and restaurants.
The idea is that the street could be use again for walking, and not for eating- Itziar Gonzales.

Barcelona’s City Hall has restricted, on Friday andSaturday mornings, the access of tourist groups to thehistoric market of “LA BOQUERIA”
Xavier Trias, the city major, signed a decree in order to regulate the access of organized groups (15 people or more). The decree bans the access from opening hours, until 15:00hrs.
The Boqueria’s
security workers have received the
necessary training to inform and
walk out visitors who
disobey instructions.
Companies warned the city that the drastic measure would make them loose 7.6 millions .
