Google Tag Manager is a simple tool to manage e-marketing tags in your websiteor ecommerce store.
Oh, it’s FREE!
container - what holds it all together. includes all tags; represented by code on website
tag - A tag is a snippet of code that sends information to a third party, such as Google.
trigger - a rule that “fires” a tag. for example, you can set subpages where remarketing or conversion code for Google AdWords would be activated
variable - it’s like a macro...I set up a constant variable with the Analytics Property ID (UA-XXX-XXXX)
More Agile, More Efficient no waiting on IT or a developer.
Simple enough that Marketing can implement.
