Women- the beauty pageants as well as the entrepreneurs, the school teachers as well as the bureaucrats, the house makers as well as the professional architects, what not do we have within us! We are momma’s pet, as much as daddy’s girl. We are free, we are organized. We have it all. Girls are born responsible is said, just to condone that they are meant to give in to societal norms.

Well, no. No human being is born that way, be it girls or boys. But, yes, moving through the stages of life, we do understand, perceive and develop a mature approach. And, in true sense, our maturity and understanding of things makes us free beings.

What do we really specify by ‘being grown up’? It’s not about serving water glasses to the guests at home or helping mom, cook the food. It’s about the limits to which we can stretch to mold into any given shape of time or situation.

Women’s day is not just about men realizing the worth of women, or surprising them with special gifts, it’s even about understating ourselves. Fathoming our worth more than anyone else and respecting our soul. It’s all about being able to perceive that we are no less than any person and we are capable of much more.
