Oppositions Bharath Bandh on 28 November flopped

Showing their disagreement over the demonetisation drive imposed by the central government, the

opposition parties have called for a nationwide strike (Bharat Bandh) on November 28. During the

Rajya Sabha session, the opposition party attacked the central government over demonetisation of Rs

500 and Rs 1,000 currency notes calling it to be an impractical move.

As the left sponsored bharath Bandh has flopped, its leader Bimen bose said, “There is no point

claiming that the bandh was entirely successful, it was successful only in some pockets. We took

the decision on November 25 evening, there was hardly any time to campaign for the bandh. None

of the trade union leaders were present in the city to spread awareness, so, it was not very effective.

Also, we think people still believe that Modi’s decision of demonetisation will help unearth black

money, but they don’t realise that the money is mostly overseas.”

PM announces demonetisationThe demonetisation of Rs 500 and Rs 1000

banknotes was a policy enacted by the Government of India on 8 November 2016. All Rs 500 and Rs 1000 banknotes of the Mahatma Gandhi Series

ceased to be legal tender in India from 9 November 2016. The announcement was made by the Prime

Minister Narendra Modi in an unscheduled live televised address at 20:15 on 8 November. In the

announcement, Modi declared that use of all Rs 500 and Rs 1000 banknotes of the Mahatma Gandhi

Series would be invalid from midnight of the same day and announced the issuance of new Rs 500 and

Rs 2000 banknotes of the Mahatma Gandhi New Series in exchange for the old banknotes.

Terrorist attack at Nagrota Army camp

Three heavily-armed terrorists killed by security forces during an encounter inside an army unit at Nagrota

appear to be part of a group which recently sneaked into the Indian territory from Pakistan. Though there

has been no official word from the army so far, sources said this was indicative from the seizure of

a number of Pakistan-made items including eatables and medicines apart from arms, ammunition and

explosives from the slain terrorists. Seven army men including two officers were killed when three fidayeens

in police uniform stormed inside the premises of 166 Medium Regiment unit.and many other communities

who were persecuted by the then Mysuru ruler.

New BJP Presidents in Delhi and Bihar

BJP chief Amit Shah has appointed party MPs Manoj Tiwari and Nityanand Rai as party’s Delhi

and Bihar unit presidents respectively. While Tiwari replaces Satish Upadhyay, Rai replaces

Mangal Pandey. Manoj Tiwari represents Northeast Delhi constituency while Rai represents Ujiarpur

constituency of Bihar in the Lok Sabha.

National anthem to be played in movie theatres - Supreme courtThe Supreme Court has ordered that all cinema halls across the country should play the national anthem before the screening of films and that all present must “stand up in respect” till the anthem is ended. It said the practice would “instill a feeling within one a sense of committed patriotism and nationalism.” Cinema halls should also display the national flag on screen when the anthem is played, it said.

“People must feel this is my country. This is my motherland... Arrey, who are you? You are an Indian first. In other countries, you respect their restrictions. In India, you do not want any restrictions?” Justice Misra remarked. ...people should feel that they live in a nation and show respect to the national anthem and the national flag,” Justice Misra said.

Pundra. Its mention is also found in the book of Periplus of the Eritean Sea and in the accounts of Arab, Chinese and Italian travelers and traders.

Jamdani is a handloom woven fabric made up of cotton, which was referred to as muslin. Jamdani’s weaving tradition is of Bengali origin. It is one of the most time and labor-intensive forms of handloom weaving. It is undoubtedly one of the best varieties of finest muslin. It has been the most artistic textile of the Bangladeshi weaver. Traditionally woven around Dhaka and created on the loom brocade, jamdani is fabulously rich in motifs.

Jamdani is woven in a supplementary weft technique, where the artistic motifs are produced by a non-structural weft, in addition to the standard weft that holds the warp threads together. The standard weft creates a fine, sheer fabric while the supplementary weft with thicker threads adds the intricate patterns to it.

Each supplementary weft motif is added separately by hand by interlacing the weft threads into the warp with fine bamboo sticks using individual spools of thread. The result is a myriad of vibrant patterns that appear

to float on a shimmering surface. In this weaving technique, the pattern is not sketched or outlined on the fabric. Instead, it is drawn on a graph paper and placed underneath the warp.

Jamdani is a fine muslin cloth on which decorative motifs are woven on the loom, typically in Grey and white. Often a mixture of cotton and gold thread were also used. Jamdani is a fusion of the ancient cloth-making techniques of Bengal with the muslin produced by Bengali Muslims since the 14th century. Jamdani is the most expensive product of Dhaka looms since it requires the most lengthy and dedicated work.

The Santhal or Saontal, are a scheduled tribe of people

indigenous to Terai of Nepal and India, who lives in the Indian

States of Jharkhand, West Bengal, Bihar, Odisha and Assam. There is a significant Santhal minority

in neighboring Bangladesh and a small population in Nepal .

They are one of the largest tribal communities in India. The Santhals mostly speak Santali, a member of the Munda language family.

Chadar Badar, a form of pupetry known also as Santhal puppetry, is a folk show involving wooden puppets placed in a small cage which acts as the stage. The Santal traditionally accompany

many of their dances with two drums: the Tamak‘ and the Tumdak’. The Santhals worship Marang buru, or Bonga, as the Supreme Deity.

Chacho Chatiar is a very important ceremony of the Santals that enables the individual to take his place in Santal society and participate in its rights, rules and ceremonies. Without

this no Santal can be married or cremated.

In the Santhal community, younger ones always respect their elders and bow to them whenever they meet. In return the elders show love and care by assuring them of the blessings. Whenever a new member or relative comes to the family, he is welcomed first. Then he is asked to sit and thereafter his feet are washed. The relatives are not allowed to go without having food.

One of the most important and distinctive symbol that characterizes this community is the bow and arrow. Apart from using it for hunting, they use it during various rituals, festivals and celebrations. During the ceremonial cleansing after birth, the arrow is used by the midwife. In ancient times the umbilical cord of a new born baby was cut with the sharp edge of an arrow and the same arrow was placed vertically on the head side of the baby.

The tradition of hunting has been there among Santhals since time immemorial. Santhals have great ability to locate animals by looking at the caves or forest. They even have the ability to bring home the animals and birds alive

and domesticate them. When the hunters come home, the respective household people wash their feet and salute each other because they have come saved from the death. After that they eat food and the hunters gather at a place and cut up the killed animals.

Santal society has very interesting characteristics. It contains flexibility in rigidity. Marriage is one of the important components in the dynamics of Santal

society. It, indeed, have wonderful and interesting feature. Santal marriage gives an understanding of Santal life and their feeling and sentiments. It, to some extend, depicts the Santal way of life.

Naming ceremony of

little Krishna and Balarama

STORY FOR KIDS

DECEMBER 2016 | WWW.WISHESH.COM

Nanda agreed with sage Garga’s suggestion. Sage Garga performed all the rites in a simple way and told Nanda in private, “This Rohini’s child charms everyone with his beauty. He will delight his friends and relatives by his virtues. So we shall name him ‘Rama’. And because he will manifest extraordinary bodily strength, he will also be known as ‘Bala’ . So he will be called Balarama.

Moreover, because he unites two families, Vasudeva’s family and Nanda’s family, he will be known also as

‘Sankarshana’.

”The younger boy is God incarnate. As he has a dark complexion, we shall name him Krishna. Since his father’s name is Vasudeva, he will be known as Vasudeva. This child, who is a source of joy to you and all others in Gokula, will bring you great good fortune. Look after him with all attention.” After completing the ceremony and blessing all of them, sage Garga departed for his own home. Nanda and Yasoda were highly pleased and felt blessed.

All the people of Gokula came and prostrated before him. Nanda requested him to perform the naming ceremony for his two sons. Garga also had a purpose in coming to this place. So he immediately agreed. But he suggested that the ceremony should be performed without much pomp. Otherwise, it might draw the attention of Kamsa. If Kamsa came to know that sage Garga had performed the naming ceremony, he would think that the children must be of some importance and he would try to kill them.

The family priest of the Yadus was sage Garga. Nanda felt that his children should be named by sage Garga. So he requested sage Garga to visit Gokula and name the children. Accordingly sage Garga

arrived in Gokula. Nanda and Yasoda received him with great joy and reverence.

What to do for

children’s healthThe very common and true saying ‘Health is Wealth’ is not just a myth. We should

always keep in mind that health is the greatest wealth in this world.

We should motivate our kids and children to know about this common saying. The importance of health is to be imparted at an early age, so that they grow up practising a healthy regime.

Good health is the most important part of our life, without which we are incomplete and living unhealthy life is stressful living. Good health is really better than wealth and other things in this whole world. It is as true as our life that good health keeps us always happy and gives us

a feeling of complete physical, mental, social and intellectual well-being.

UK announces new visa crackdown

The UK government has announced changes to its visa policy for non-EU nationals, which will affect a large number of

Indians especially from the IT sector.

The new visa rules announced by the Home Office, says that anyone applying after November 24 under the Tier 2 intra-company transfer (ICT) category would be required to meet a higher salary threshold requirement of 30,000 pounds from the earlier 20,800 pounds.

The ICT route is mainly used by the Indian IT companies in Britain and the UK’s Migration Advisory

Committee (MAC) had found that Indian IT workers are accounted for nearly 90 percent of visas issued under this route.

“The first of two phases of changes to Tier 2, announced by the government in March following a review by the Independent Migration Advisory Committee, will affect applications made on or after November 24 unless stated

otherwise,” a Home Office statement said.

Other than the Tier 2 ICT salary threshold hike, the other changes include increasing the Tier 2 (General) salary threshold for experienced workers to 25,000 pounds, with some exemptions; reducing the Tier 2 (ICT) graduate trainee salary threshold to 23,000 pounds and increasing the number of places to 20 per company per year and closing the Tier 2 (ICT) skills transfer sub-category.

“Immigration is not serving to increase the incentive to employers to train and upskill the UK workforce. Ready access to a pool of skilled IT professionals in India is an example of this,” the MAC report had said in its findings.

“We did not see any substantive evidence of long-standing reciprocal arrangements, whereby UK staff are given the opportunity to gain skills, training and experience from working in India,” it noted.

“They have developed a delivery model, whereby significant elements of projects are delivered offshore in India, taking advantage of the fact that Indian salaries are lower than in the UK for equivalent

workers. Indeed, partners told us that India currently has a competitive advantage in training IT workers and in the time it would take to fully upskill the native population, technology would have moved on,” the report concluded.

“The UK government’s reforms to Tier 2 work visas are intended to ensure that businesses are able to attract the skilled people they need, but also see that they get far better at recruiting and training UK workers first,” then UK Immigration minister James Brokenshire had said.

for a slate of delegates to a political party’s nominating convention, who in turn are elected as their party’s presidential nominee.

Businessman and reality television personality Donald Trump became the Republican Party’s presidential nominee on July 19, 2016, after defeating Senator Ted Cruz of Texas and 15 other major candidates in the Republican primary elections. Former Secretary of State and Senator for New York Hillary Clinton became the Democratic Party’s presidential nominee on July 26, 2016, after defeating Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont.

WORLD NEWS

In the early morning of November 9, 2016, initial vote counts indicated that Donald Trump was projected to obtain over 270 electoral votes, a majority of the 538 electors in the electoral college required to make him the president-elect of the United States. The victory was considered unlikely by most pre-election forecasts and was characterized by various news organizations as an “upset” and the most “shocking” U.S. presidential election result since Harry S. Truman’s upset victory in 1948.

Aside from Florida, the states which secured Trump’s victory are from the Great Lakes / Rust Belt region. Wisconsin went Republican for the first time since 1984, while Pennsylvania and Michigan went Republican for the first time since 1988.

Maine split its electoral votes for the first time since 1828. Despite winning the popular vote by more than 1.7 million, Hillary Clinton is poised to lose the Electoral College by 74 votes, with 30 states and Maine’s 2nd congressional district going to Trump and 20 states plus DC to Clinton.

Seventeen major candidates entered the race starting March 23, 2015, when Senator Ted Cruz from Texas was the first to announce his candidacy, former Governor Jeb Bush of Florida, retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson from Maryland, Governor Chris Christie of New Jersey, businesswoman Carly Fiorina from California, former Governor Jim Gilmore of Virginia, Senator Lindsey Graham from South Carolina, former Governor Mike Huckabee of Arkansas, former Governor Bobby

This was the largest presidential primary field for any political party in American history.

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who also served in the U.S. Senate and was the First Lady of the United States, became the first Democrat to formally launch a major candidacy for the presidency. Clinton made the announcement on April 12, 2015, via a video message. While Nationwide opinion polls in 2015 indicated that Clinton was the front-runner for the 2016 Democratic presidential nomination, she faced challenges from Independent Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders, who became the

second major candidate when he formally announced on April 30, 2015, that he was running for the Democratic nomination. September 2015 polling numbers indicated a narrowing gap between Clinton and Sanders. On May 30, 2015, former Governor of Maryland Martin O’Malley was the third major candidate to enter the Democratic primary race. On June 3, 2015, Lincoln Chafee, former Independent Governor and Republican Senator of Rhode Island, became the fourth major candidate to announce his candidacy for the Democratic nomination. On July 2, 2015, former Virginia Senator Jim Webb became the fifth major Democratic candidate to announce his bid for the presidency. On September 6, 2015, former Harvard law professor Lawrence Lessig became the sixth and final major Democratic candidate to enter the race.

British Prime Minister Theresa May arrived in Delhi on 6 November evening on a three-day visit

to India. This is her first bilateral engagement outside Europe after taking office in July. The 60-year-old British Prime Minister’s visit is

aimed at enhancing Indo-UK ties in the key areas such as trade, investment, defence and security.

Ms May is being accompanied by 40 business delegates from UK companies which will showcase itself at the Tech Summit in Delhi.

“Both PMs will have a number of issues to discuss and clearly PM Modi will want to know the impact of Brexit may have on India. These are early days but I can tell you that this indicates that Britain wants to forge a stronger, fruitful and prosperous relationship

“If anything, I see further tightening of visa rules. Free Trade Deal with India will be tough because I see India then automatically asking for liberalisation of visas as a quid pro quo. I think trade with India will be difficult in the years to come because of the new centrality over immigration.” said political analyst, Professor Anand Menon of King’s College

London.

“We will be promoting the best of Britain, sending out the message that we are open for business, and making the most of the opportunities offered by Brexit as the world’s foremost champion of free trade,” Before leaving London, Ms May had said.

“Free trade creates a rising tide that lifts all boats,” she said. “It makes us all richer. It creates jobs.”

“The U.K. will consider further improvements to our visa offer if at the same time we can step up the speed and volume of returns of Indians with no right to remain in the U.K.,” she said.

“We must therefore encourage greater mobility and participation of young people in education and research opportunities,” she said.

“Similar is the case with the sale of flats that are built by developers -- properties that are taken over from existing independent house owners and developed into new houses. This kind of business has also come to a halt,” he added.

“The only hope now is that, once the demonetisation drive stabilises -- say in three-

four-six months -- banks will extend more housing loans. I don’t see a problem since prices have crashed 25 percent. That is our only hope,” the property consultant said.

“The primary sale of the houses will go up with the demonetisation move as the banks will lend more money to actual buyers,” Manoj Gaur, Managing Director of Gaursons India, said.

“Banks are expected to lend money at a better rate of interest following an increase in their deposits. So, instead of parking their money in bonds or fixed deposits, people would prefer to buy property in the coming days.”

“The secondary market, in which the big deals of lands and houses were carried out at low circle rates, will feel the impact,” Gaur said.

“I do not believe in the prediction of a few people that the property prices would go down by 25 per cent. Loan rates might drop in December after the policy statement is released. It will be reflected in a cut from 15 basis points (BPS) to 25 BPS and there would be more reduction in loan rates in the coming months,” Vinod Bahl, a senior journalist who writes on real estate, said.

offered by the developers, but that has taken a back seat and buyers are waiting for price correction and the rate of home loans to go down,” he said.

Jaishree Kurup, Head, Editorial and Advisory, at Magicbrics.com, said: “The cash-savvy market has been most affected due to the demonetisation mainly in north India and in Mumbai. Markets like Hyderabad and Chennai, which are not so much dependent on high cash transactions, have remained unaffected.”

“Deals which had 30 to 40 per cent of cash transactions have got cancelled in recent days, while the deals which were based on home loans did not get affected,” she said.

Ravi Ramu, CEO and MD of VBHC-Value Homes Private Ltd., said, “Real estate to the extent it depends on cash transactions is dead for now.”

“India’s GDP will steadily rise as the black money economy is largely snuffed out in the near-term and transactions get recorded in the mainstream economy. The fear of such bold anti-black wealth moves will presumably drive more to the ‘whiter’ way of doing business,” Ramu said.

“Cheaper home loans and car loans and personal loans will fuel consumer spends,” Ramu added.

The demonetisation of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 banknotes was a step taken by the Government

of India on 8 November 2016, ceasing the usage of all Rs 500 and Rs 1000 banknotes of the

Mahatma Gandhi Series as a form of legal tender in India from 9 November 2016.

DECEMBER 2016 | WWW.WISHESH.COM

The move was termed as a bold and brave initiative against corrunption and funding of terrorism. On 8 November 2016, an announcement was made by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi in an unscheduled live televised address to the nation at 20:15 IST. In the announcement, Modi has declared circulation of all Rs 500 and Rs 1000 banknotes of the Mahatma Gandhi Series will be invalid effective from the midnight and announced the issuance of new Rs 500 and Rs 2000 banknotes of the Mahatma Gandhi New Series in exchange for the old banknotes.

After the official announcement by Prime Minister Modi, the Governor of the Reserve Bank of India, Urjit Patel, and Economic Affairs secretary, Shaktikanta Das explained in a press conference that while the supply of notes of all denominations had increased by 40% between 2011 and 2016, theRs 500 and Rs 1000 banknotes increased by 76% and 109% respectively in this period owing to forgery. This forged cash was then used to fund terrorist activities against India. As a result the decision to eliminate the notes had been taken.

Patel also informed that the decision had been made about six months ago, and the printing of new banknotes of denomination Rs 500 and Rs 2000 had already started. However, only the top members of the government, security agencies and the central bank were aware of the move. But media had reported in October 2016 about introduction of Rs 2000 denomination well before the official announcement by RBI. This statement has led to much debate, because the Reserve Bank governor six months before the announcement was Raghuram Rajan, while the new banknotes have

Chandrashekhar Azad, the leader of that revolutionary movement, was not in favor of exploding bombs. However, others in the party persuaded Azad to accept Bhagat Singh’s plan and Azad selected Batukeshwar Dutt to accompany Bhagat Singh and throw the bombs in the Assembly.

Batukeshwar Dut is best known for having exploded a few bombs, along with Bhagat Singh, in the Central Legislative Assembly in New Delhi on 8 April 1929. After they were arrested, tried and imprisoned for life, he and Bhagat Singh initiated a historic hunger strike protesting against the abusive treatment of Indian political prisoners, and eventually secured some rights for them.

Along with Singh and Sukhdev, Dutt was tried in the Central Assembly Bomb Case and was sentenced in 1929 to life imprisonment by the Sessions Judge of Delhi under Section 307 of the Indian Penal Code & Section 4 of the Explosive Substances Act. He was deported to the Cellular Jail, Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

After his release from prison, he participated in the Quit India Movement of Mahatma Gandhi and was again jailed for four years. He was lodged in the Motihari Jail (in Champaran district of Bihar). After India gained independence, he married Anjali in November 1947. Independent India did not accord him any recognition, and he has spent his remaining life in poverty away from the political limelight.

Dutt outlived all his comrades and died on 20 July 1965 in the AIIMS hospital in Delhi after a long illness. He was cremated in Hussainiwala near Firozepur in Punjab where the bodies of his comrades Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev were also cremated. He was survived by his only daughter, Bharti Bagchi, in Patna.

Costumes

Most of the Kodagu natives, wear the traditional Kodava costume. These men wear ‘Kupyas’ (knee-length half-sleeved coats) over a full-sleeved white shirt. ‘Chale’ i.e. a maroon and gold sash is tied at the waist and an ornately carved silver dagger known as ‘Peechekathi’ is tucked into it. ‘Odikathi’ is yet another knife that is tucked into the Chale at the back. A chain with a minuscule gun and a dagger hanging onto gives a martial look.

The saris worn by women are pleated at the back and the pallu fixed with a brooch is also wrapped in a unique

way. They wear either a full-sleeved or three-quarter sleeved blouse and cover their head with a scarf. A traditional gold beaded necklace (Jomalae) and a gem-pendant (Kokkethathi) is widely worn by the women of Kodagu.

Mehrgarh eraINDIAN HISTORY

Mehrgarh is a Neolithic (7000-3200 BC) site on the Kachi plain of Baluchistan, Pakistan, and one of the earliest

sites with evidence of farming (wheat and barley) and herding (cattle, sheep and goats) in south Asia. The site is located on the principal route between what is now

Afghanistan and the Indus Valley.

DECEMBER 2016 | WWW.WISHESH.COM

Mehrgarh eraThe habitation of the site

has been divided into seven periods, the

first being the Pre-Pottery Neolithic period that dates to circa 7000 B.C. or even earlier. The site

was abandoned between 2000 and

2500 B.C. during a period of contact with

the Indus Civilization and then reused as a burial

ground for some time after 2000 B.C.

Perhaps the most important feature of Mehrgarh is the fact that

one can witness its gradual

development from an early village society

to a regional center that covered an area of 200

hectares at its height. In the course of this

development, a huge platform that may reflect some form of authority was constructed at

the site. Mehrgarh was also a center

of manufacture for

various figurines and pottery that were distributed to surrounding regions

Research shows that people here lived in houses and were involved in hunting, domesticating of animals and farming cereals like barley and wheat. This hunting-farming society developed gradually and their pursuits were creative. During the early period these people used stone and bone tools i.e. polished stone-axes, flint blades and bone-pointers. By 6000 B.C. the hand-made pottery appeared and in the 5th millenium B.C. Metallurgy and potter-wheel were introduced and they produced some fine terra-cotta figurine and pottery with exotic geometric designs. Subsequently they produced and wore ornaments of beads, seashells and semi-precious

stones like Lapis Lazuli.

Most of the ruins at Mehrgarh are buried under alluvium deposits, though some structures could be seen eroding on the surface. Currently, the excavated remains at the site comprise a complex of large compartmental mud-brick structures.

Function of these subdivided units, built of hand-formed plano-convex mud bricks, is still not clear but it is thought that many were used probably for storage, rather than residential, purposes. A couple of mounds also contain formal cemeteries, parts of which have been excavated.

Although Mehrgarh was abandoned by the time of the emergence of the literate urbanized phase of the Indus civilization around

There are indications that bones were used in making tools for farming, textile, and there are also evidences of the use of cotton even in that period. Skeletons found at the site indicated that the height of people of that era was larger than that of the later period.

Bajaj’s iconic chetakto be relaunched

There was a day when Bajaj’s scooter Chetak ruled the roads. It is still nostalgic for many when talking

about scooter. They do not have anything to talk but Bajaj Chetak. The iconic scooter was out of

market at around 2006. Now there is a good news for all the ‘Hamara Bajaj’ lovers. Chetak is going to

be relaunched in the year 2017.

WWW.WISHESH.COM | DECEMBER 2016

TECHNOLOGY

The specifications are not revealed, but says that it is ready to compete with the present day scooters. The Chetak is expected to have an all-new design and modern features to lure the customers and give competition to the already powerful Honda Activa 125 and TVS Jupiter in the market.

The all new Bajaj Chetak will get front disc brakes, a conventional suspension setup to enhance the riding experience and a host of utility spaces like large under seat storage, front storage space and hooks under the seat. Going by the image, the new Chetak also will be equipped with leather or premium seat upholstery with contrast stitching, blackened-out side view mirrors and will have a glossy exterior paint.

To make the scooter look contemporary, the two-wheeler maker has equipped the new Chetak with a new headlamp cluster, sleek vertical turn indicators at the front along with bigger air vents at the centre. It is expected that the Bajaj Chetak will be powered by a four-stroke, air-cooled 125cc or 150cc engine that will produce more power figures that the previous model and will be paired to an automatic gearbox.

TECHNOLOGY

As per the images in a publication, the 2017 Bajaj Chetak will miss out on telescopic forks up front and the front drum brake. However, since the final production model is a bit far away from reality, we can safely assume that Bajaj will add up these elements to its scooter to enhance its desirability quotient.

Chapter – 3 Verse – 26

Verse meaning

Let not the wise disrupt the minds of the ignorant who are attached to fruitive action. They should not be encouraged to refrain from work, but to engage in work in the spirit of devotion.

Explanation

All rituals, all performances of sacrifices and everything that is put into the Vedas, including all directions for material activities, are meant

for understanding the almighty, which is the ultimate goal of life. A realized soul in should not disturb others in their activities or understanding, instead he should act by showing how the results of all work can be dedicated to the service of supreme lord.

It may be put forth that if one feels compassion for the ignorant one should give them knowledge of atma-tattva or soul realisation which is the highest. The ignorant should not be influenced to refrain from performing their duties

by superior instructions about the atma or soul that they are not qualified to understand. The spiritually wise in Vedic knowledge should inspire the ignorant to perform their duties with attentiveness and care. If the minds of the ignorant become disturbed and unsettled then they may lose faith in working altogether and with actions stopped and knowledge not rising the ignorant would lose out in both ways.

The spiritually wise in Vedic knowledge should inspire the

ignorant to perform their duties with attentiveness and care.

DECEMBER 2016 | WWW.WISHESH.COM

The winter session of the parliament started with hurricane, while the session was adjourned n number of times due to the ruckus created by the opposition on the issue of demonetisation. Everyday the session was stalled by the opposition and it is not allowed to function. The irresponsible behaviour of the opposition by stalling the parliament is costing the exchequer.

The winter session of Parliament began on Wednesday 16 November, the Lok Sabha was adjourned for the day after Speaker Sumitra Mahajan read out the obituaries of former members of Parliament. The debate over demonetisation got under way in the Rajya Sabha.

On day three of the winter session of Parliament, Rajya Sabha proceedings were disrupted with BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi demanding an apology from Leader of the Opposition Ghulam Nabi Azad for his remarks on Thursday. Mr. Azad had made comments linking the Uri terror attack casualties to the deaths during the demonetisation “crisis”.

Opposition parties in both Houses refused to allow any proceedings on 25 Novenber, objecting to the PM’s remark on earlier in the day that “some people” are criticising demonetisation because “the government did not give any time to them to make any preparation (to convert black money into white)”.

Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad, BSP chief Mayawati, Derek O’ Brien (TMC), Sharad Yadav (JD-U),

Ramgopal Yadav (SP) were among those who demanded that the PM apologise to allow the House.

Leader of Congress Mallikarjuna Kharge said, “The issue now is not our demand for an adjournment motion but the remarks of the Prime Minister. He said the opposition supports black money.”

“There was good debate yesterday (Thursday) when everyone opposed black money. And now the PM is saying he is a saint and we are all devils,” Derek O’Brien of Trinamool Congress had said earlier in the Rajya Sabha.

While the parliament is being stalled in the name of demonetisation, there is a overwhelming support from the people of India in this brave and bold move to put an end to the evil of black money. The people waiting in the queues of ATMs and banks pledged their support to this earnest move even when they are struggling to withdraw their hard earned money deposited in the banks.

“There was good debate yesterday (Thursday) when

everyone opposed black money. And now the PM is saying he is a saint and we are all devils,” Derek O’Brien of Trinamool

Rock On 2 is all about Adi (Farhan Akhtar) who moves to Meghalaya and he starts working for the welfare of locals over there. Joe (Arjun Rampal) turns judge for a reality show and he owns a bar that plays live music. KD (Purab Kohli) prays for re-uniting the band and his hope raises after he listens to a recording by Jiah (Shraddha Kapoor) and Uday (Shashank Arora). The rest of the film is all about how the band re-united and what happens next. Watch Rock On 2 to know about the rest.

Analysis :

The first half of the movie starts low in pace and the narration has been quite dull. Though some of the moments raise the race, the film dips down again. Couple of songs have been shot well and the performances by the lead actors make the audience energetic. The interval episodes make the audience engaging however the film has been quite slow in pace and it lacks entertainment. On the whole the first half of Rock On 2 tests your patience.

The second half of Rock On 2 too carries the same mood and it dips down completely. The biggest disappointment is the songs as none of them have been melodious and interesting. The pre-climax episodes have been dragged too much that they test the patience of the audience. On the whole the second half of Rock On 2 is quite disappointing.

Final Word:

Rock On 2 is a film that can be completely ignored because of the poor narration. The movie fails to make any noise with the music. Give it a skip.

Analysis :

The first half of Force 2 promises some a decent commercial action drama as the film has been a right mix of all the ingredients. John Abraham opens with a bang and his introduction has been loud and stupendous. After a decent commercial drama, the film turns extremely interesting. Though it has small dips, the first half of Force 2 manages to stand strong all over. The songs have been shot well and the interval episodes make the film interesting.

The second half of Force 2 has been quite emotional and it has been laced with action. The element of crime dominates the film completely and Force 2 is sure not a disappointment. The movie takes the right move all over and it makes a decent impact on the audience all over. The pre-climax episodes of Force 2 have been completely engaging however Sonakshi Sinha acts as the major disappointment in the film. The climax has been decent and on the whole, Force 2 is sure a decent and engaging action drama.

Naruda Donoruda is a film that can be given a huge skip as the film ends out to be a boring feast because of the clumsy narration and outdated presentation.

Analysis :

The first half of Dear Zindagi rarely has something to express and it looks completely clitched. The screenplay has been hammered enough that it makes no difference. The entire first half has been wasted without revealing anything to the audience. Some of the episodes impress the audience but they make no impact on the whole. Nicole Kidman looked stunning as she arrived at the Bridgestone Arena for the Country Music Association Awards in Nashville on Nov. 2, where she was on hand to support her crooning hubby, Keith Urban. The actress opted for a gorgeous gown for the occasion, which was the perfect choice considering it is the 50th anniversary of the show. She totally caught our attention in her red Gucci gown, which featured flowing, elbow-length sleeves and a chiffon skirt.

Sam Hunt

Sam Hunt, 31, has skyrocketed to fame since the Oct. 27, 2014 release of Montevallo, and his songs have been blowing up radio airwaves ever since. But now that the album’s fifth single is slowly fading out, fans are itching for more music…and luckily, the singer’s hard at work on giving us just that.

ARIESYou need to slow down your mental pace. You have a lot of ideas and you can expect everything to manifest and people to be on the same page. Paperwork will clear after December 7, but after the 20th there could be trouble while negotiating contracts with

clients. Avoid mood swings at work. Don’t carry work stress home. Post 15th, you can expect work from old clients to come to you. While money will come in, pending payments may also be of concern, but they will clear after the 24th.

GEMINIWork will be priority as you are presented with lot of new ideas and opportunities come. While people at work will be supportive of everything

you do, you might have to organise and plan your next move. Don’t rush into things after the 17th as it might back fire. Important meetings between the 12th and 17th will fall in your favour. Work will slow down after the 26th. Don’t get carried away by people at work. Payments will be stuck till the 18th. Health will need attention post 21st.

TAURUSThe month will start off on a slow note, but you will have a lot of pending work to finish. With health not on your side, work will suffer till 12th. Expect things

to pick up after the 16th as new work comes in. This is month to expand or add new work to your folio. If you’re looking at hiring freelancers or adding to your team, after the 18th is when you get clarity. Financial insecurity will set in due to delays at work. Health will need your attention till 18th. Remember to eat on time.

CANCERThis will be a star month for you, where everything you are pushing for will manifest without you expecting much. Expect clarity to come through

between 5th and 18th of the month. A new job, role or ideas will manifest after the 15th. Between 11th-20th, you might sign off some paperwork. Avoid friction at work between 22th and 26th. It’s going to be a positive period financially, but there might be some extra expenses at the beginning of the month. Health will need attention between 10th and 18th.

LEOKeep your fingers crossed and hope for the best as you will be in for surprises. You won’t know what hit you (in a good way) with new ideas

materialising and new tie ups coming into play. Expect clarity to come through around 10th-16th. If you’re looking for a new job or investors, after the 15th is a brilliant period, but don’t expect clarity till end of this month. You might work with or hire new people this month. Spend time organising paperwork. Health will need attention between 9th-27th, especially eyes and stomach.

DECEMBER 2016 | WWW.WISHESH.COM

SCORPIOWhile work will be slow till 12th, expect clarity and more work to come in after 14th and 22nd. New orders, sampling, projects will keep you busy

after the 23rd. Avoid friction with staff around 18th-24th. You could be in the limelight after the 25th. Abundance through old clients will flow in after the 17th. Avoid extra expenses around 3rd-16th. A family member’s health will need attention around the 6th-17th. Avoid friction with your partner after the 27th.

VIRGONovember was not your best month. But all your ideas and plans will move forward after the 7th, and you can expect people to acknowledge or understand them after the 15th. Clarity about an ongoing project will come through after the 12th. You might

even go through a role or job change after December 17. This month, new associations or tie ups are on the cards. Work will be slow from 24th to 29th. Organise finances as you might feel financially insecure. Health will need attention between 1st and 18th, and post 26th.

AQUARIUSDecember will be a slow period at work, no matter what you try to do. Even if things move forward, there will be a slowdown from other people’s end.

This can be frustrating but it will also give you a second chance to rework and structure to prepare you for the end result. Avoid arguments at work around 18th-25th as it could backfire. Finances will be slow due to extra expenses.

LIBRAEverything you want will manifest this month. In fact be careful what you ask for. New opportunities will keep you busy till the 8th, post which work will be

slow due to travels and pick up after the 24th. You might work with new people this month. Delegate more, else you will burn yourself out. Health will need attention due to exhaustion around 16th-28th. Family life will be stable throughout the month. Just avoid friction with your partner between 20th and 26th .

SAGITTARIUSYou need to have a plan in place before you jump to decisions. You have been getting carried away by your ambitions. You also need to be

practical. Clarity will come through after the 7th and 22nd, but don’t be aggressive with people at work. Avoid friction with a senior member around 17th-26th. Health will need attention between 6th-17th. Family life will be stable, but post 17th, a family member’s health will be of concern.

CAPRICORNWork will be erratic, some days good and some days slow. You can’t do much. Don’t blame yourself for the slowdown. Not everything can be

under your control. New job opportunities or orders will come through after the 11th. An important meeting around 18th-23rd will work in your favour. Don’t fear the past repeating in areas of work. Balance eating patterns and sleep on time.

PISCESYou need to take charge but at the same time be patient. You have been procrastinating or feeling lazy, but the energies this month will

give you the push to move forward. Work will be stable throughout the month with minor delays around the 16th and 21st. An important meeting around 6th to 11th and after 26th will bring in abundance. Health will need attention, especially stomach and lower back, throughout the month.
