Tier10 Marketing Participating in Movember, Collecting Donations http://tier10lab.com/2012/11/07/tier10-marketing-movember-collecting-donations/ November 7, 2012 By Xavier Villarmarzo In honor of men's health and facial hair everywhere, Tier10 Marketing and its employees are participating in Movember to raise awareness and fund for prostate cancer, testicular cancer and other men’s cancer initiatives. Employees provided a donation, which will go toward the Movember charity. Tier10 will then match the total monies raised by its employees. Tier10 will also continue to raise additional funds from outside the company through its Movember team page. Those interested in donating to Tier10 Marketing’s Movember efforts can do so by clicking here. But Movember wouldn’t be Movember without some ‘stache-ction. Therefore, the donation doubled as an entry free for participating male employees (i.e. Mos), who showed up on Nov. 1 with a completely shaved face. All Mos – including males and females who donated over $20 – also received an honorary Movember t-shirt designed by Tier10 graphic designer Jason Tropp, who championed the cause to the company.

In honor of men's health and facial hair everywhere, Tier10 Marketing and its employees are participating in Movember to raise awareness and fund for prostate cancer, testicular cancer and other men’s cancer initiatives.

Tier 10’s Movember rules differ slightly from the official Movember rules, which call for keeping only a mustache throughout November. Tier10’s Mos showed up on Nov. 1 with a completely shaved face. From there, Mos are required to refrain from shaving for the month and grow a full beard. (However, to keep from looking terribly disheveled, Mos will be allowed to shave their necks, as no one wants to see Neck Beard November.) Then, on Nov. 26, Mos will shave the beard, keeping and maintaining only a mustache until the end of the month.

To show solidarity with the ‘stache-sporting gentlemen, the ladies of the of the office will also get in on the week of ‘Stache Madness by donning mustaches of their own from Nov. 26 through the end of the month. Fake ones, of course. Tier 10 will be documenting its journey to a ‘stache-growing office by taking pictures of Mos each day. Tier10 will also create a time-lapse at the end of the month, which will be posted on Tier10lab.
