Through numerous philanthropic endeavors, Stephen Eric Lawrence has assisted with community needs in the Bahamas, where he lives. The founder and managing director of Trinity Company in Nassau, Stephen Eric Lawrence works through the Lawrence Family Charitable Foundation to support his local community. In addition to providing funding and volunteer assistance to several soup kitchens in the area, the privately-funded group gave money to help with the purchase of 30 Kevlar bulletproof vests for the Royal Bahamas Police Force.

The Royal Bahamas Police Force serves as the law enforcement arm in the Bahamas to maintain law and order. These professional men and women train to preserve peace, enforce the law, and provide prevention education to the citizenry. Sometimes known as constables, there are an estimated 3,000 sworn members of the Royal Police Force. In addition, about 300 public servants serve in support roles.

To join the force, applicants must meet basic requirements that include passing a background check as well as a physical examination proving their good health. In addition to providing well-trained officers to enforce the law, the Royal Bahamas Police Force provides services that include firearm licensing, temporary liquor licensing, vendor permits, and barricade rental.
