Objective

The goal of this document is to lay out a framework by which we can assemble a comprehensive help file for Drive-By. The framework should have a functional approach, which focus on getting the user working with the system on general tasks, then exploring the minutia of the platform.

Page 2: Rough Driveby

Framework

We should begin the Help File with a brief overview of each of the major uses of the platform.

Following that should be an exploration of each of the general categories that are featured in Drive-By.

Finally there should be a section outlining the details of the platform and more advanced options for users once they are comfortable with the platform as a whole.

*****Primary Drive-By Sections*****

This section is intended to act as a road map for Drive-By. The user can use this as reference for what each section of Drive-By actually does. It allows them to identify specific tasks they wish to accomplish and how to map out a road to accomplish them.

Dashboard

Welcome to the Dashboard! From here you can set-up both internal and third party widgets to track a variety of information. You can tailor this page to meet your specific needs from Drive-By. The upper left corner has drop down menus for navigating Drive By, along with a search bar. In the upper right corner you can see your log-in ID, and have the option to log out of Drive By.

Publishers

From here you can a list of all the Traffic Sources in Drive-By. Publishers are your specific sources of traffic to your website or offer. You can create a different Publisher category to help create specific pages for each publisher to use and test.

Page 12: Rough Driveby

Networks

Drive-By sees a Network as any organization or individual from which you are receiving offers to track using Drive-By. Traditionally these are Affiliate Networks. You can set up new Networks as needed to provide tracking for multiple Networks.

Page 13: Rough Driveby

Accounts

Accounts are individual accounts of clients or users of each Network. If you are an Affiliate Network, this function allows you to set up accounts for each client so that you can provide targeted optimization and tracking.

Domains

Domains are the basis of any offer testing and optimization. Domains can be set-up to be used between multiple campaigns. Domains are often are targeted towards a specific type of offer, or vertical.

Page 15: Rough Driveby

Landers

Landers are a collection of pages and a free-form way of naming your URL structure. They are essentially Virtual Placeholders. You use landers to organize your Pages into series of rotating tests to optimize the offer being tested. You can hover over the icon in the Pages column to quickly check the frequency of any pages rotation in the selected Lander.

Pages

Pages are the specific web pages that will be tweaked and tested in order to optimize a Advertisers offer. These pages will be set in Landers in order to be used. The Pages are where you change content and implement any marketing strategies that will be tested.

Page 17: Rough Driveby

Categories

Categories are modular labels which are used to sort domains, landers, and pages. Global Categories are set by product verticals. Domain Categories are set per domain, and can often be used to set specific landers for individual Publishers. You can always create your own personal categories to label for any reason.

Tags

Tags are tokens used in page HTML in order to easily swap out individual portions of a page. Tags are commonly used in place of videos, headers, or banners that may require tweaking or rotation on a page. This allows for quickly updating a dead video, or changing out banners and headers for example.

Snippets

Snippets are the modular content itself, which is placed within Tags. You can create multiple Snippets for each tag, and can rotate them in and out of Tags easily. This allows you to quickly swap content on pages without having to redirect the page, and potentially becoming mired in the HTML.

This is the main Statistics Tracking page. You can track the performance of offers by a variety of methods in order to oversee the progress of each offer. You can see real-time data on offers, allowing you to test, adjust, and oversee offers with minimal delay.
