NIC NETWORK (NICNET) was the only means of communication left with the District Administration during the crisis. NIC had immediately established voice/ data & Video Conferencing connectivity with the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) & Divisional Commissioner (Kashmir) for air lifting Relief materials . Daily updates incorporated on the official website of Leh district for providing ground zero information. NIC had played an important role as all other communication remained disrupted during the crisis period.
