James D. McGee, William E. Perkins, James E. Pierce, Lawrence A. Shafer and Ralph W. Zoller. These men faced possible life terms in prison.

The other three men are charged with firing pistols and shotguns resulting in injuries are:

Matthew J. McManus, Barry W. Morris and Leon H. Smith. These men faced the possibility of one year in prison and a $1,000 fine. All eight former guardsmen plead not guilty to all charges.

June 13th 1,250 seniors and graduate students return to receive their degrees.

4 Million Students from 900 Colleges and Universities protested after the Kent State shootings.

The National Guard never publicized the findings of the investigation.
