•The Chief Minister’s Fellowship Program, the brainchild of Shri Narendra Modi was launched in 2009 to help youth experience the working of Government.

•An extraordinary opportunity for the youth - Selected candidates are placed with high-profile projects under Gujarat Government.

•They spend 11 months working with the Government of Gujarat in a specific Department thus developing as individuals with competencies and aspirations to benefit the public through their chosen career paths.

TECHNO SATHI SCHEME

Involving & Training Students in the Working of Municipal Corporations

The Techno Sathi Scheme, an initiative of Gujarat Government imparts training to students of technical institutions of the State.

The scheme enables students to get practical experiences in the Municipalities & Municipal Corporations along with their regular studies.

Vishwa Karma Yojana – Gujarat’s Rural Facelift with the Help of Youth

As many as 340 villages spread across 26 districts from across Gujarat have been selected for the pilot project under Vishwakarma Yojana. The students of Gujarat Technological University will prepare a blueprint for transforming rural areas under Rurban Projects. Stipends & Certificates will be given to students by the Government of Gujarat.

Youth Development initiatives by the Government

Making the youth ready for the challenges of future

•Gujarat Educational Innovations Commission promotes conception, experimentation and implementation of educational innovations

• iCreate, the incubation centre under the aegis of Gujarat Foundation of Entrepreneurial Excellence (GFEE) identifies, nurtures, mentors and grows the spirit of entrepreneurship and innovation amongst the youth.

• Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) develops Industry Responsive skills among youth to make them fit for employment in various industries.

•Gujarat has set over 300 ITIs (Industrial Training Institutes), wherein more than 1.25 lakh students are trained according to the needs of the industry

Initiatives of Government of Gujarat to promote innovation and entrepreneurship!

Gujarat is the first state in India to have a full-fledged Innovation Commission that seeks to serve as a platform for future innovators.

Youth Development initiatives by the Government

Making the youth ready for the challenges of future

•Gujarat Governement’s initiative eMPOWER has enabled the youth of Gujarat to get basic IT skills, certifying them & making them employable for Government as well as Public companies

•Thousands of youngsters in every taluka are imparted primary training in Computers and Information technology.

•The Society for Creation of Opportunity through Proficiency in English (SCOPE) has been setup in cooperation with Cambridge University to build English language proficiency in the youth of Gujarat and thereby provide employment opportunities for the youth.

•Lakhs of students have been trained till date under this scheme.
