Urban Profile

Jaipur, Udaipur, Kota & Ajmer (4 Cities) of Rajasthan among the list of 100 Cities to be developed as Smart Cities

Jaipur & Udaipur made a place in the first 20 Cities declared by GOI in Round 1

Jaipur ranked 3rd and Udaipur 16th in the first list

The SPV for Jaipur & Udaipur namely Jaipur Smart City Ltd (JSCL) & Udaipur Smart City Ltd (USCL) have been registered on 12.03.2016 under the company act 2013.

Smart City proposal for Kota & Ajmer submitted to MoUD, GoI on 30.06.2016 for its approval under Round 2 Challenge of Smart City Mission.

The total project Proposals of the SCP: Rs. 2401 Cr. • Area Based Development (ABD): Rs. 1582 Cr. • Pan City Proposal: Rs. 819 cr.

Area Based Development: Retrofitting Model: The area comprising of Walled city area of either side of the axis between Badi chopad & Choti Chopad & extended to include Albert Museum totaling 600 Acres.

Major Sectors considered:- • Sustainable Mobility Corridors• Heritage & Tourism (Night Bazaars, Recreational Spaces, Adaptive Reuse

of Buildings, Museums)• Smart Civic Infrastructure (Smart Parking, Smart Meters, Green Energy)

SMART CITY PROPOSAL : KOTA

The total project Proposals of the SCP: Rs. 1221 Cr The total investment plan for the Mission period is Rs. 1455.00 Cr.

Area based development (Retrofitting) = 1067.00 Cr Pan City Development = 319.00 Cr.

(Rs. 69.00 Cr. Contingency, PMC fee etc extra) Area based development(Retrofitting): Pedestrian friendly city with

recreational facilities, Development of tourism activities, Provide hard infrastructure, Environmental sustainability and water body conservation, Development of Dusshehra ground, Redevelopment of Ghodewala Baba Slum.

Pan City Development: Water Management with use of improved technology, Integrated Traffic Management system, Solid Waste Management.

The mode of Area Based Development is Retrofitting earmarked after intense citizen consultation.

The area selected is the central located twin lakes known as Kishor Sagar & Kotri Talab and its nearby area totaling 1459 Acres.

SMART CITY PROPOSAL : AJMER

The total investment plan for the Mission period is Rs. 1947.62 Cr. Area based development(Retrofitting) = 1731.94 Cr Pan City Development = 215.68 Cr.

Area Based Development (Retrofitting): Heritage, Art & Culture, Tourism, Transportation & Mobility, Pristine Environment & eco-friendly recreational projects, development of Economy & Innovation Hotspot .

Pan City Development: Integrated Traffic Management, Security & Surveillance system, Intelligent Street lights, City E-governance.

The mode of Area Based Development is Retrofitting earmarked after intense citizen consultation.

The area selected is the northern and central part of the city surrounding Ana Sagar lake covering 1526 Acrs of the land. The area comprising 13 wards which includes a Holistic, inclusic and transformatic retrofit development of area extending from Martin Dale Bridge, covering railway station, Gandhi Bhawan Chowk, Madar Gate, Bus Stand, JLN Hospital, Daulat Bag, Gaurav Path, Pragati Nagar, Civil Lines, Vaishali Nagar etc.
