Creating my magazine!!CCN girl

First step to the making

• For the front of my college magazine I needed to take a picture of me or someone else that would be placed on the front cover and it had to be a medium shot. This is the picture I ended up using:

Inspiring magazines

• Looking for inspiration I searched up other magazines. I ended up trying to create a college magazine designed for girls and make it more like a fashion magazine. I looked at all types of magazines for different types of inspiration for example colours used, pictures used, style.

Reasons for my design

• i used the colour red so it would stand out and also because it is the colours of city college. The background I dimmed so the text would stand out more and be the main attention.

• I outlined the text on my cover lines so it would give it a glow and it wouldn’t merge into the background

• I put a barcode, price and date because it was essential for a magazine

Steps of design

• The first thing I did was create my master head then made it bold and changed the colour.

• I inserted my main picture and enlarged it to fit as a background of my cover.

• I then put covering lines of what would be included in my magazine and gave the text an outer glow.

• I used an arrow• On some of my text I used a bold outline I then uploaded a barcode

on to the magazine• I put on the date and the price of the magazine• My background was too bright so I made dimmed it and put it in

black and white.
