Television news – Conventions of television firstly is for

presenters to research information, recognize their stories and to

display their breaking stories to the audience. news presenters always

wear formal clothes commonly suit and tie or anything smart. This

partly to show the exposition which will show that this is news. Also

visual coding because this way the audience will believe the stories

because the smart clothes usually represents reliability.

Radio telecommunications – similar to T.V radio present need to

have solid information to present to the audience which is interesting.

However many convention are not used in radio because radio isn't

visibly displayed like T.V but radio presenter usually bring new thing

to table such as after each talk in the morning top ten music will be

voted by the audience this way the audience will be appealed to the

radio station.

Newspaper website- newspaper convention are sight different to every

other format because these convention are presented throught written

display. The main elements found in newspaper would the headline, By-

line, Lead Paragraph, Main Body, Masthead, Slogan, Photographs etc.

but most of all the main stories are always in big fonts and big sizes which

brings the audience to the page. Along side with large images, quotes,

information and even advertiments at the side.

Documentary– Conventions of documentary would firstly be the voice-overs which are common in most

document. This is to add the effect of an narrator to make any documentary seem good. also in the beginning of

any documentary an exposition is in place. This is there to promote the overall ideas of what the documentary is

going to be about. This way the audience will know what it is about but not exactly. In most of these

documentaries which speak on history archival footage is highly important. This is because archival footage is

recreated scenes from any point in time, this is to help the audience get a perfect picture of that historical point.

Another convention about documentaries world be the visual coding which means If any clothes or props is

matching the person in the scene, this is used to either make the documentary reliable or more believable. i.e. a

T.V Presenter wearing rough and dirty clothes wouldn’t be believed by the public were as a person wearing smart

clothes matching the scene with all the smart people and professional work area is more believable. A main key of

convention documentary is titles and text Using text and title is there for the audience to identify people of there

name and there occupation, this way people will just look at the text and find the document more believable.
