The government's focus is more on skill

development so as to generate more employable

manpower. Therefore the Industry of skill

development and entrepreneurship has suggested the

opening of India’s first National Skill Development

University in Raipur which will bring out the

Chhattisgarh Development.

It will tell us the importance of benefits of

apprenticeship and give training which can

bring a vast change in business, individuals

and the overall economy.

It will support the people and the business of

Chhattisgarh.

The objectives of the scheme are:

I. For improving the employability of school leavers, ITI

graduates, some of the existing workers etc. They are

given vocational training by optimally utilizing the

infrastructure available in Govt., private institutions and

the Industry. Existing skills of the persons can also be

tested and certified under this scheme.

II. Building capacity in the area of development of

competency standards, course curriculam, learning.

It will take the responsibility for co-ordination

of all skill development efforts across the

country, removal of disconnect between demand

and supply of skilled manpower, skill up-

gradation, building of new skills, and innovative

thinking not only for existing jobs but also for

jobs that are to be created.

The state of mineral-rich Chhattisgarh is among

the three states in the country for recording

highest development expenditure.

Regarding the Chhattisgarh Development, the

Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has ranked it in the

list of one of the top three states with highest

spending on development work. The other two

states include Bihar and Jharkhand.

The RBI reported that in 2012-13 the financial

management in Chhattisgarh state was in a far

better position. The state government had been

spending 49.3 per cent of its total budget on

the social sector that is more than the national

average of 40 per cent.

In the fields of education, Chhattisgarh is among

the five leading states in the country.

Chhattisgarh has a rich legacy of one of the

oldest panchayati raj systems.

Within 14 years it has emerged as one of the

fastest developing states in the country. It has

registered all round development on a number of

platforms and made its presence felt at the

national level.

Chhattisgarh development can be easily

measured by the development of new

administrative capital Naya Raipur. The state has

taken leadership for its vision and commitment

to sustainable development.

Naya Raipur is the planned capital city of 21st

century in India and is being developed as a modern

and green city. For making the state eco-friendly the

special features such as rain water harvesting and

harvesting of solar energy have been included.

Comfort and security to the citizens are being ensured

through dedicated bus lanes, cycle tracks, pedestrian

pathways and barrier free movement.
