What Attracts You To Buy a

Magazine?

Here, our target audience suggested that they would be attracted to interesting interviews and for the magazine to be eye-catching. Interesting artists were also on the list. This information suggests that we must include interviews of artists on the front cover, using bold colours and fonts to grab our target audience’s attention

What Title Would You Suggest?

We asked this question to get an idea of what masthead would attract our target audience. We also thought it was important to include “pop” in the title, so that the genre would be clear. From this we have decided to use the title “Pop ‘Till You Drop” as the genre is obvious and also uses a pun, connoting an enjoyable and fun read, attracting our target audience.

Reading the Most?

Interviews and reviews were the top things that cropped during this question. Images of artists were also important. This suggests that on our front cover we must include sell lines with interview and review content, with images of artists to support them.

Would You Suggest?

The conventional red, white and black was suggested for use here, but the most paramount thing was for the magazine to look attractive to consumers. To achieve this we must make the magazine look bright and colourful, yet also professional, so the layout must be structured.

How Would You Make a Magazine

Look Attractive?

Cover mounts were on the top of the agenda here, suggesting that we must include a free gift for consumers such as a free digital download. A catchy slogan could also be used, maybe something like, “we’re the top of the pops!” We also had some advice saying that we must not be too in your face to urge consumers to buy, otherwise they might be put of.
