In the last ten or fifteen years, Adobe has made a couple of excellent products that have been gaining popularity, such as PageMaker, and it's replacement, InDesign.

These days we use a PC/Mac with either adobe or Microsoft software... its a whole lot faster, and doesn't require any real skills.Now it is done by computer and everything including images are digitised removing the complicated process of colour separation.

Magazines changed by the font coverts, different topics, pictures.Technology that they using to make magazines. They still uses the Logo - name of the magazines that they started of with. The paper quality, colours, layouts, design.

They changed the paper that they used to make the magazine and before they didn’t had magazine covers they just had articles and pictures .

Why do we have magazines?

• Before internet, magazines had more purpose than now to people.• Many topics to be discussed : covers a lot of topics ( family, interest magazines, opinion,

women interest magazines, covering aspects of life .)

• Contains stories and articles that readers are interested in

• Performs functions like entertaining, and criticism

What are the benefit of magazines to reader?

• Entertainment ( you can take it everywhere and read it, fun topics)

• Source of information ( latest news, Gossip)

• Provide meaningful ways to get information about a situation• Having advertising pages (keep audience informed with new

How have magazines changed and/or been influences of technology (like online magazines)?

Back in the 50's 60's, magazines were targeted towards woman families, cookery, budget, children's health issues for parents, and women's health issues and also keeping fashionable with some of the latest conservative styles in those times for housewives.

The trends changed a little bit in the late 60's 70's with more of an emphasis on fashion and make up and music, with less on homemaking and cookery and family life.

The big change was in the late 70's and the 80's years when trends shifted towards the single, young woman and lifestyle. With new fresh clothing, trends in music and personal problems.

Now the were in the 21st Century Magazines have continued since then with some other big changes, adding in celebrity gossip, weight issues, life situations and even online magazines.
