+Negative Impacts
Caso Cerrado is an ACTED show where they hire people thru talent agencies to "ACT" as plaintiffs and defendants, trying to imitate real judge shows like People's court and Judge Judy, which are REAL shows
If this was a real program, first, she would have to wear a judge's robe
Second, the security guard would have to be a bailiff, sheriff, constable, or other appointed county police officer
Third, she "caresses" and "comforts" people, especially "young women" on the show as though she is "helping" them. REAL judges are NOT allowed to touch anyone – (Supposedly she is a lesbian)
Fourth, she has dancing and all other sorts of events which are not allowed in courts
exhibits many Hispanics as ‘out there’ and it ultimately exploits people with undermining the importance of being in the court system

+HISPANIC WOMEN IN THE MEDIA
Historically women have either been portrayed as ‘senoritas’ or temptresses. These two roles translate into Latino women being passive, feeble, unintelligent, and dependent.
Provoking Females femininity and sexuality Latina bodies and sexuality in contemporary
popular culture Red colored lips, bright seductive clothing,
curvaceous hips and breasts, long brunette hair, and extravagant jewelry
widely circulated narratives of sexual availability, proficiency, and desirability
They have a lot of kids and they are dependent of their fathers or partners
+The Latino Man in the Media
Gangster, Drunkard, Savage, Illiterate.
Short, Tanned, heavy accent.
Acting: villain, Latin Lover (ex. Antonio Banderas), peasant.
Roles have changed from lazy man to the Latin Lover
+Advertisement Examples
Frito-Lay: “Frito Bandito” Mexicans depicted as thieves.
Ligget &Meyers: “Paco” never “feenishes” anything; Mexicans are too lazy to improve.
Lark (Ligget & Meyers): Mexican covered in paint, depicting a sloppy worker.
Granny Goose: Fat Mexican toting guns and carrying ammo; Mexicans are fat and are violent
+Conclusion Latinos have been a growing minority and will soon
become the majority in the US. The US is known as a melting pot but it has not truly accepted subordinate cultures into its dominant one until more recently. It is noted that the effects of Latinos on American culture will be longstanding and the many video games, TV shows, and films will continue to win awards and perhaps the Latin Grammys wont be a separate occasion in the future. Hopefully stereotypes can change again, just as it from lazy Mexican to Latin Lover. Maybe one day day we will be portrayed as the successful business man.
