The Upcoming Week...(1st -7th March 2009)

Page 4: 1st March Forecast

National Summary...Sunday sees the transition of milder weather to cooler weather but also from cloudy conditions to much sunnier skies. Light Rain will greet the North in the Morning but those in the South, especially the Midlands and Eastern England, there will be hardly anything left of it.

Monday will be a brilliant day for England and Wales. Sunshine all day is likely albeit the slightly fresher feeling. Scotland and Northern Ireland will have cloudy conditions with some rain. Over the higher ground in Scotland some wintriness is possible.

Tuesday sees the rain from the North spread further South. Some back edge sleet or snow cant be ruled out though any showers in Scotland could be of sleet and snow with some accumulations over higher ground.

The rest of the week continues the late taste of Winter with shower activity possibly widespread during the middle of the week. Accumulations will be mainly restricted to higher ground unless a trough or front develops bringing more prolonged snow.
