In this post I will explain how we can get the best deal on Samsung galaxy note 5 that is
lesser than market price. If you are in USA or in any other country where there is a popular
culture of getting the phone after signing the 2 years of contract then this post is worth
reading. Otherwise, I invite you read other posts of mine in this blog.
We prefer prepaid plans because of so many good reasons:

Few advantages below:
We will have the 㾀�exibility to use the phone with multiple GSM carriers.
Ability to reduce the plan’s package when no longer needed (like going out of
country for a vacation or reduce your monthly expenses)
These above 㾀�exibilities won’t be available when you enter 2 yr. contract-you are basically
stuck with paying the monthly price, whether you need it or not.
But as a customer you will be ripped o� when you want a phone like Samsung galaxy
note 5 that is selling at an exorbitant price.
As of this writing, USA model Samsung galaxy note 5 is expected to sell for 720$* from
August 21st if you wish to purchase at a full price from the USA carrier.
*as per popular sources
You may see some other cheaper rates in eBay or something.
Buying a phone from unknown sellers will screw everything up (I had that experience
once trust me!). Few major problems below:
Usually, international phone model’s frequency won’t match always with USA
carriers. So you have tough time expecting 4G or LTE on your phone.
There is a possibility of your phone getting blacklisted if you happen to purchase
the phone from a non-licensed dealer (who would have got that phone through the
2 year agreement plan and report that as lost, once he sold it to you)
Think about this simple scenario and decide yourself:
Service providers would buy the phones in bulk and attract customers with a small initial
down payment with an idea of getting the customer tied up in the contract for 2 years.
The expectation is that they slowly and steadily get the returns on their investment, but
there is one catch to this, there is an initial period where they would actually be spending
more before breaking even and then start to get the actual pro�ts.
If you understand the above point well then you would actually end up paying lesser price
than you would have if you’d gone for the full price.
So far you would have thought only these 2 options:

Option I: Buying the Samsung galaxy note 5 at full price and �nd a prepaid plan for it
from any GSM carrier of your choice.
Option II: Buying the phone with a contract of 2 years and choose a needed data
plan that comes with it.

within a month”
Option SM explained:
Buy a phone (Samsung galaxy note 5) for 2 year agreement with 299$ (upfront down
payment-It may be 199$ also,I took 299$ to be on safer side) and choose a plan as below

Don’t forget to call the customer service and request for the activation fee waiver.

In our case it would be 325$-10$ (for a full month billing you might have had) = 315$.
Place a legitimate request to unlock the phone-since you don’t owe any money after
paying early termination fee, service providers must unlock as per your request.
Now, you got a phone you want for 299$+315$=614$ (which is 15% lesser than option I)
Your savings (106$) will be even more if you go for even cheaper prepaid plans as you
wish!
So,we are getting brand new Samsung galaxy note 5 at a discount of
(720$-614$/720$)*100=15% (approximately)
