• Nicki Minaj is one of the leading female rappers in the modern day and appeals to men and idolised by the women.

• She is very revealing of her body which represents that she isn’t concerned about her body whatsoever. She is representing confidence and trying to pass that around.

• The tattoos can link to her rebellious side and show her wealth which represents that she is a rich bad girl which other people should aspire to imitate.

• Her costume shows off most of her body, only covering her private areas and her pose is showing no fear whatsoever which adds to the representation that she is a ‘manic diva’ and proud to show off her looks.

• The representation of Little Mix contrasts largely to the representation of Nicki Minaj.

• Little Mix are not dressed to catch the males attention as much, mainly to the fact that there band appeals to a younger audience. They seem to be aspiring for wealth and a great career, whereas Nicki aspires to be more better looking and more of a ‘manic diva’.

• All of Little Mix are posing in a happy way/smiling which represents them as a fun to be around/energetic female band. They are not appealing as sex objects unlike Nicki Minaj.

• They are all touching one another to represent togetherness and that its better to have people around you than to be alone.

• Bastille in this magazine are represented as optimistic and hardworking as they are ‘breaking America’.

• They are casually posing as if they are confident in doing the challenge. They are showing that confidence will lead to success. Also, this cover contrasts a massive amount from the Nicki Minaj cover, as they are not posing as sex objects or trying to hard to attract the opposite gender.

• This band will inspire up and coming British bands as it will infer to them that hard work and talent will help you break into America like they have.

• Its sort of similar to the Little Mix cover as they want there music to do the talking not their bodies.

• This American rapper contrasts a lot from the bands, but has a lot in common with the Nicki Minaj cover. They both give off the rebellious attitude by the tattoos and pose.

• Lil Wayne has his top off and is showing off his gold teeth. Furthermore this represents that ‘I don’t care’ attitude which gets passed on to the audience. He also seems confident about his appearance and wealthy due to all his tattoos and expensive hat.

• The black and white edit gives a mood of mysteriousness which helps consumers understand that he is a unique character.

• Unlike the bands, Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne try to give off the rebellious vibe not the fun and energetic vibe.

• This photo of Devlin represents where he is from and that he is a ‘hard to approach’ character.

• The black and white effect gives off a real mysterious and appealing look and I want to imitate this style within my magazine cover picture.

• The simplicity is also appealing as if its too filled with colour and subheadings for example then it creates a playful vibe which is not what I want to imitate. I want mine to be serious but sort of rebellious just like the Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne cover.

• I aim to make my magazine cover rebellious and mysterious but also a bit smiley at the same time so the consumers don’t feel to put off with the seriousness of it.
