DESCRIPTION
Do you want to eliminate ‘in the field’ paperwork, improve productivity, increase data accuracy, and work disconnected? All on a device that is practical, cost effective and reliable, and most importantly wanted? Welcome to the age of Smart Devices for Field Workers. Join Tu Tran (Calpine Corporation) and John Chen (Enbridge Energy share why they chose to embrace smart devices for their field workers. They will discuss why smart devices work best for both their employees and their business. Tu Tran (Calpine Corporation) Tu Tran has over 20 years of progressive experience and leadership in the Information Technology field servicing the Energy Utility, Biotech/Life Science, Aerospace, Public Education Sector, and Supply Chain/Logistics industries. He joined Calpine in 2008 and has led various Maximo initiatives including strategy articulation, application roadmap, architecture assessment, and program/project management. During the last two years, he has initiated a mobile strategy and formed an in-house team to develop various mobile applications to support Calpine’s Power Operations business unit. John Chen (Enbridge Energy) John Chen has more than 15 years of software leadership experience in the Information Technology industry. He has been working at Enbridge Energy, US since 2003. Mr. Chen is currently the Technical Lead for Maximo projects, including their Mobility initiative, for the Enbridge Gas Transportation Gathering and Processing Division.
