How to run your android smart phone in 2G mode to save battery and data cost

Switching your android Smartphone to 2G only mode will save few precious minutes of battery. This 2G mode will

also save your internet data usage if you are in a limited data plan.

From applications select the settings icon to open the settings menu

Under the “wireless & networks” section click on more

Now tap the mobile networks then select the

“Preferred network type”

option. This will bring 3 choices for you on the screen.

Now tap the 2G option from there

Now your phone will run in 2G mode which will extend your battery backup and save your

data usage.
