➢ Why should a consumer buy your product? Why does your company believe that what it does is benefitting the consumer?

➢ How does your product perform its function while staying true to your company’s core values and mission?

❖ Social media allows companies to reach a wider audience. Companies are also able to narrow the audience down to just the brand’s target audience.

Engages❖ Consumers enjoy social media so much because it is easy. The ease of following

anything they like at the click of a mouse is music to consumers’ ears. Therefore social media marketing is prevalent for a brand’s image as it reaches more eyes.

❖ It is easy for companies and it is easy for consumers. It’s a win-win.

❖ Live events, new products, discounts, you name it. All of these brand updates need to reach the consumer quickly and effectively. Updating your brand’s social media will keep your audience updated and engaged.

❖ High customer interaction and engagement through a brand’s social media site will indicate strong relationships between brand and consumer. It will let a target audience know that they are welcome and cared about.

Strengthens❖ Social media marketing strengthens the relationship between the consumer and the

company, and it builds the brand’s reputation.

❖ A brand’s reputation is fragile, so it is imperative that social media platforms are utilized effectively to communicate with the audience.

❖ If a brand comes across an issue that hurts its image, it should communicate the issue, what went wrong, how it happened, and steps that the company is taking to fix the issue and ensure it never happens again. It should do this through its social media channels.

❖ This will help the brand strengthen its reputation among audiences. It will make it clear that the company recognizes its flaws and takes steps to improve upon them.

Retains❖ All of the previous slides lead up to customer retention.

❖ The basis of retention is loyalty. In order to keep a customer coming back to your brand, you must earn their trust.

❖ Social media marketing reminds consumers why they love your brand and why they keep buying your products. By constantly alluding to the cause your brand is working for and goals your brand is working towards, you are reminding your customers why they are benefiting both themselves and society by buying your brand’s products.

❖ Remind your audience why your brand is doing what it’s doing, how it impacts society while benefiting the consumer, and what your brand stands for and supports for the maximum customer retention.

What is a brand without social media marketing?

❖ Without presence and activeness on social media, your brand is risking being forgotten about or ignored.

❖ Without a loyal customer base, your brand will not be able to recover from setbacks and customer backlash.

❖ In the case of Chipotle with the E.coli scandal or Volkswagen with the emissions test scandal, they were only about to recover because they had established a loyal customer base that was able to forgive and forget.
