Key point that I have learnt in internal training at Bhagwan Mahavir Medica

Superspecialty Hospital (BMMSH) in Out Patient Department (OPD).

HELP DESK

I learn how to great the patient at the Help Desk.

I learn how to give a proper advice to the patient to reach an exact place

he/she wanted to reach.

I learn how to tackle the patient in a proper manner.

I learn to give proper and right information about the doctors, they are in

hospital or at leave.

I learn what should do and what shouldn’t do at Help Desk.

I learn how to find the patient with the Personal Registration Number

(PRN) in the computer and give an exact location of the patient if he/she

admitted in the hospital.

By looking the faces of the patient we noted that the patient is really

happy with our services or not.

OPD BILLING COUNTER

First of all the billing At OPD for the old and new patient should be done

of the consultation to the Doctors.

Here the co-ordination between the patient to the doctors and vice- versa

to be done.

After consultation with the doctors the prescription paper should be made

Xerox for the future use.

Here we should learn the doctor’s timing for the patient help.

Here OPD check out also should be made so that all the equipment in the

doctor room are available for the diagnoses.

List of the patient admitted in the hospital consent to the doctor can be

generated by Hospital Management Information System (HMIS).

I learn to take appointment of the patient through telephonic system.

Page 27: Ravikant project report

HOSPITAL MARKETING

INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT STUDIES, RANCHI UNIVERSITY 27

DIAGNOSTIC BILLING COUNTERS

Here all kind of billing related to diagnosis are to be done just like USG,

EEG, ECG, ECHO, X-RAY,CT-SCAN, LAB-TEST etc.

Here all types of report are dispatched related to diagnostics.

Here all types of health check-up billing is also done.

Here Out Patient (OP) and Service Patient (SP) billing is also done.

Here Hotler Test billing is also done. ( Hotler test is a test related to

24Hrs Heart monitoring system)

Conclusion

In BMMSH, Ranchi patient satisfaction can be achieved by providing them quality service whenever

they need it. Patients demand good quality care and value for the money they spent. Hospital system

defines roles, responsibilities, process and procedures within the organisation in order to ensure that

staffs are able to do and carry out quality assurance activities. Failure to provide the quality services

will indicate poor patient satisfaction and also erosion of the hospital by decreasing the number of

patients day by day which is based on trust and confidence and confidence. So to satisfy the patients,

good doctors should be included, good behaviour should be provided to customers and time

management is necessary, but on the other hand Ranchi city is such a place where rich people are very

few in number so it is quiet hard for the organisation to give superior quality of care to each and every

individual.

Being a student I am very much satisfied to work in such an organisation which has emerged itself as

the a major healthcare delivery unit in Ranchi and parts of Jharkhand. It is an institute where patients

are given the first priority, and it takes pride in treating the patients and caring them as an individual.

I would like to show my gratitude to thank the organisation for providing me such a wonderful

opportunity to gain the practical knowledge in the field of healthcare which is different from our

theoretical knowledge.
