Introduction to panoramic selfie brand activation for events
• The way we’re taking pictures has drastically changed over the last few years because of the generalization of the mobile phones and the emergence of the selfie phenomenon.
• Selfie is not a buzzword anymore, it’s a sociological shift: we now want to play the major role in the picture.
• More and more of those pictures are shared every day.
• Sharing has become a way of existing – whether we do it on Facebook to grab dozens of likes or via WhatsApp to keep it within our best friends.
• But people will only share what matters for them - not necessary what matters for the brand…
• Brands have to provide the appropriate content (with added-value for the people) if they want them to share…
• We want to offer people a piece of content that will
link them with the mythical event they are attending.
• We strongly believe that there is an added value for
brands that will provide people the kind of selfie they
couldn’t do by themselves and by so, promoting their
image through service to the people: brand utility.
• We also see this activation as the perfect way for a
sponsor to gain credibility around its association with
the event. It’s a fabulous opportunity to highlight the
partnership between the brand and the event.
Our solution is a mobile app synced with a photo device placed up to 200 meters from the selfie taker’s location.
Participants trigger the distant camera from the selfie station…
The final result is a panoramic selfie: an amazing short video that zooms out from the original location to end on a beautiful panorama.
The videos produced by the app are trackable, so brands can see how often a video is viewed or reward the best
ambassadors.
