Target Market

NIKE focuses its products on are athletes. Sportsmen are the Majority consumers of Nike’s products. A lot of Nike’s success has to do with the unique usefulness that goes along with the items. NIKE’s Major target markets are Basketball, Jogging, Aerobic, Tennis, and it is designed for 13-40 years old. Nike targets mostly teenagers of all socioeconomic classes, and for those who want to look athletic and fashionable. They catch the attention of the athletic and outgoing personalities.

Marketing Mix(4P’s)

Products: Nike offers a wide selection of shoes, apparel, and equipment products. Nike’s foremost focus is athletic footwear and apparels designed for sports and everyday usage with the brand name. Nike also makes other products such as: sport balls, timepieces, eyewear, skates, bats, and other equipment designed for sports activities. Price: Nike shoe prices could range from $30 to $200 and maybe more, but they also have to stay in a competitive price to other shoe retailers. Nike as a brand commands high premiums. Nike has become so well known for quality products that most people will pay top dollar for these products. The product price has not stop people from buying Nike shoes. The company has designed its pricing structure in a way to make it competitive to other sellers. Place: Nike has a lot of distribution channels to get their products to their customers. Nike shoes are carried by multi-brands and the exclusive Nike stores across the globe. Nike has over 20,000 retailers in the united state in almost 200 countries around the world. Niketown, for instance, can take up an entire city blocks and feel as though you have travel 10 years. Promotion: This is Nike’s strongest points. Nike advertises in every medium with utmost precision. Their advertising is simple and it sends the strongest messages. They have the best players from all sports advertising the products. They are on TV, on the Radio, in the streets, in every social media and more. The advertisement is meant to show the consumer that with these shoes you are able to exceed everyone else’s expectations and rise above.

Competitive Advantage

Nike has many advantages in comparison to other companies. For instance, Nike is always offering the latest technologies in all their products in order for us to have a much better experience of their products. The production facilities are located close to the raw material to have low labor prices. They also have the latest trends in the market and are constantly evolving their products. They have an amazing advertising team that is in charge to advertise the brand through every medium. The logo itself is a symbol that inspires people to accomplish their goals.
