“If you want to own a business and work for yourself without
shouldering all of the risk by yourself, a franchise is definitely the way to go. Choosing the right franchise opportunity is the key. You should find one that fits your interests and long term personal
and business goals. Many franchise systems offer a great return on
your investment, but if you don’t enjoy the business you may
lose interest and burn out over time. That’s what’s great about
NFP Sports.”

“We know how important coaches are to their play-
ers and their communities, and we wanted to create a way for people to publicly
show their gratitude. Few people realize it, but President Nixon created
an official National Coach-es Day on October 6, 1972
and too little has been done to recognize coaches on
their big day. We have taken it upon ourselves to help establish this awards
program and an official white house petition to
effectively revive this im-portant national holiday.”

Park Ridge football coach Gary Mioli will receive a posthumous award Thursday in celebration of National Coaches Day. As part of the celebration to commemorate Mioli’s accomplishments on and off the field, NFP Sports will present a banner, plaque and $2,500 grant to the Park Ridge Athletic Department.
Simply launching a new company is
incredibly difficult. Making it successful is
exponentially harder. You will have sleepless
nights and work insane hours. It’s
likely to take months, sometimes years,
before your efforts help you turn a profit. Take it from us, if we
didn’t love sports, and more importantly, the
work required to sell and execute our
patented fundraising program, there is no
way our company would exist today.
St. Paul’s Jude Kelly and Southington’s Mike Drury were semifinalists for the
inaugural National Coach-es Day Award, given out by
NFP Sports. NFP Sports was created to serve the
fundraising needs of sports teams and programs who
need the help. They are looking to revive Nation-
al Coaches Day, which was originally established as a
holiday by President Richard Nixon in 1972.
“There are very few known standards for fundraising com-panies in the industry, so the biggest thing for us was to cre-ate some high level standards that the industry could oper-ate and a franchise system is the only thing we can across that would really do that.”
-- James Thomson, NFP Sports

“The perception about fundraising is varied. What we offer is a no-risk,
high-reward program. It all starts with a meeting with the coaching staff. Our
NFP coaches will actually create a goal statement with the coach. This is our
goal. This is why it’s important. This is how it will make our team better.”
-- James Thomson, NFP Sports
“What’s important is for the student athletes, if you cut high school sports, there’s leadership qualities, sales skills, part of a team and knowing how to operate in the real world. What’s happened with education? With athletics there’s that stronghold of coaches that really care and that’s really for us why we like working with high school sports and coaches because they really care and don’t get much pay. -- James Thomson, NFP Sports
