Raw Materials

• We utilize over 95% Virgin Pig Iron

– Resulting in a higher composition of metal

• Consistent snap cuts with scissor and ratchet type cast iron snap cutters

• Can cut pieces as small as a ½”

• Uniform pipe cuts utilizing chop saw

Manufacturing to Perfection

•Honed (Clean) Interior of Each Pipe

– Resulting in better flow characteristics

•Hydrostatic Testing of Each Pipe

– 5 PSI Water Test Before the Coating Process

•Spray Coated for Consistent Coverage

– Easier Installation resulting in Flush Coupling Seat

Excessive Corrosion Effects DWV Systems

The Epoxy System is Designed for:

Page 19: New Age Presentation final 2014

MIC: A Form of Excessive Corrosion

Microbiologically Influenced CorrosionWhat causes MIC?

MIC is caused by bacterial microbes in combination with four other environmental conditions: metals (host location), nutrients, water, and oxygen (although some types of bacteria need only very small amounts of oxygen). These bacteria are ubiquitous in the environment and piping materials. When all of these environmental conditions are present, then microbial growth will occur.

What happens if MIC is present in pipes?

As MIC bacteria grows, consumption of the metal pipe occurs and sometimes tubercles are formed. Pitting is a likely effect and the walls of the pipe may be penetrated but the flow characteristics of the pipes are degraded.

Challenge: Re-Pipe due to Corrosion

Re-pipe: Challenge for owners to operate their facility:

• Down time of their building / facility due to corrosion and resulting in non-functioning sanitary systems.

• Cost associated with replacement and re-commissioning of the system.

Page 22: New Age Presentation final 2014

Coating Requirements by Code

• The current Cast Iron Soil Pipe Standards have no requirements as to what can be used to coat pipe/fittings.

• The standard only requires

– “The pipe and fittings shall be uniformly coated with a material suitable for the purpose, that is adherent, not brittle, and without tendency to scale.”

Page 23: New Age Presentation final 2014

The Solution: NewAge Epoxy

- Pipe and fittings conforming to ASTM A 888 with Epoxy Coating

- Coating meets EN 877 Standard – British, European and Australian standard that requires all commercial application DWV be epoxy coated.

- Internal and external layer of epoxy coating

Installation of NewAge Epoxy

The install of NewAge Epoxy Pipe is no different then the standard CISP system. There is no additional cost for the installation of NewAge Epoxy on standard DWV projects.

Joined with Regular, Heavy Duty or Extra Heavy Duty no hub coupling

Cost Difference of Epoxy

There is little cost difference between standard cast iron and NewAge’s premier epoxy coated cast iron System.

NewAge Epoxy adds tremendous value for your Clients.

10 Year Warranty!!

NewAge epoxy coating protects the entire system for the Life of the Building.
