Let’s create an account

Done signing-up?
You will receive an email from Canva
Just confirm your Canva account…
…by simply clicking the confirm button
You will be directed to the Canva home page
Click on “Create a Design”
There’s a lot of “design types” to choose from
Social Media Posts i.e. Facebook Post
Documents i.e. Letterhead (US)
Blogging & eBooks i.e. Kindle Cover
Marketing Materials i.e. Real Estate Flyer
Social Media & Email Headers
i.e. Facebook Cover
Events i.e. Wedding Invitation
Ads i.e. Facebook Ad
Don’t like any of the “Design Types”?
Not a problem…
…click “Use Custom Dimensions”
Type in the Width
Type in the Height
Select either PX, MM or IN
Click on Design
In this tutorial
We will select the Facebook Cover
In the Social Media & Email Header Design Type
Choose a lay-out
There are hundreds of
lay-out to choose from
After selecting your preferred
Layout
Click on ‘Elements’
There are 9 categories to
choose from
Free Photos
Grid
Frames
Shapes
Lines

Charts

Let’s now move on to Text
You can Add Heading…

…or add a lil’ bit of body text

were looking for?
If you have your own designs
Click on Uploads
Upload pictures from your
desktop or laptop
Any images you purchase a
“multi use license for” will
appear here
You may also upload images
directly from your Facebook
account
OR
You may also use Canva’s
search tool bar
Play around with Canva
Choose your preferred
Layout
Choose your preferred Text
Font
Add Pictures or Icons
Please note that Canva’s
Premium Lay-out, Font Text,
Icon & Background would
cost you $1 each.
