Product OverviewLow-e Glass Coating Type
Hard Coat or Online Low-E Glass
Hard coat low-e glass or online low-e glass includes coating the glass
surface with a thin metallic oxide layer during production. This is more
used for single glazed applications and has higher U value.
This process is also known as CVD (Chemical Vapour Deposition).
Hard Coat Low e-glass is strong and durable.
Soft Coat or Offline Low-E Glass
Soft coat low-e glass, or sputter coating, is applied to glass when glass
enters a vacuum chamber filled with electrically charged inert gas.
This combination of electricity and vacuum allows molecules of metal
to sputter onto the glass. This gives high performance solution with
invisible coating and low U Value. Offline Low-E Glass has more
transparent appearance with reflective properties required for solar
protection

Product Overview
Types of Low E Glass Single Low-e GlassSingle Low-e glass has a coating that reduces the emission of infrared energy, keeps the heat on the side of the glass whereas it allows the visible light pass.
Double Low-e GlassDouble Low-e Glass or Double glazing is commonly known as insulated glazing. It consist of two or three glass panes separated by a vacuum to minimize the heat transfer across the building envelope. Standard double-glazed units are coated with ultra-thin silver and filled with inert gas argon.
Triple Low-e Glass
Triple Low-e Glass or Triple glazing is
filled with krypton. Daylight passing
through triple glazed window consist of
energy transmittance g-value and the
light transmittance Tv to keep the
required heat inside the house or
building and also reduces the light
transmittance as compared to double
Low-e Glass.

Product Overview
Applications of Low-e Glass
• Residential: Low-e Glass applied in residential houses gives
energy saving to homeowners according to climate changes.
For instance, glass used for houses in northern climate would
prefer insulating against heat loss, saving solar energy and
welcoming the light from outside. Whereas, Glass used for
houses in warmer, southern region would insulate against the
loss of heating and cooling, selectively transmitting sunlight
while reflecting unwanted solar heat.
• Commercial: Low e-Glass applied in commercial buildings
helps the architects to contribute in environmental and
commercial benefits. Low e-glass is being extensively used in
the commercial spaces worldwide thereby reducing the carbon
emissions.
