Embroidery The logo or detail is sewn or woven into the material and is very effective in branding anything of a textile nature (eg. caps, T-shirts, apparel, bags etc). It is generally considered the best branding method for smaller areas as the costs are determined by the number of stitches applied (not the number of colours) and there is no limit to the number of thread colours that can be used. Embroidery provides a professional finish and has a high perceived value. A popular choice for uniforms and clubs, embroidery offers a high-end finish for simple logo designs. Well suited to textured fabrics such as pique knit polo shirts, embroidery creates a hard-wearing, professional-looking representation of most logos. Embroidery remains one of the most popular choices for: • Teamwear & merchandise A popular choice for sporting clubs, not-for-profit organizations and societies; embroidery allows a professional high-end look for the right price • Events & promotion Adding an extra dimension to your next promotion, embroidery is the perfect choice for more subtle branding • Uniforms With a high-quality finish and professional appearance, embroidery is a popular choice for large and small businesses alike. (Clothing, Personal Arts & Crafts /Knitting & Sewing) decorative needlework done usually on loosely woven cloth or canvas, often being a picture or pattern. Artwork is created of the client’s logo. Madeira color (thread color) can be utilized to match requested PMS to as close as possible color replication. Fine detail, gradient colours within a logo cannot be accurately represented via Embroidery because of the thickness of thread as opposed to the fine detail of a screen print.
Artwork is then digitized by the embroiderer and a plot sheet is given identifying colours and the number of stitches used. The number of stitches used is the determining factor for the embroidery charge instead of the number of colours used. Advantages of Embroidery is that unless it is “unpicked” it will last the life-span of the garment, as seen in the table below:
