Briefing

Morgan Advanced Materials (MGAM) is one of the largest UK manufacturers of carbon and ceramic products for industrial use. EASTWEST PR was appointed to generate media exposure during its senior executives Shanghai visit in June 2014.

Approach

EASTWEST PR proposed a press event held during this visit in Shanghai, and delegated 3 bilingual PR consultants to be onsite throughout the entire event to help with media reception, onsite media management, event hosting, and facilitating one-to-one interviews as well as video interview for MGAM’ CEO among Chinese trade and mainstream business media outlets, this integrated approach combining press event, interview and video interview.

Morgan cars Breaking into the Chinese market

Brief

Malvern Morgan Cars (Beijing) Co. Limited, the appointed general dealer in Beijing from Morgan Motor Company in the U.K. is announcing the opening of its 1st flagship showroom located in Beijing. EASTWEST PR was appointed to help organize a press event for Morgan Cars’ showroom grand opening in Beijing on June 18 2013.

Strategy

EASTWEST leveraged a comprehensive PR approach to increase Morgan cars’ brand awareness among a wide range of local media from general business to the Auto industry, spread the news that Morgan cars can now be purchased in China through its appointed general dealer Malvin Morgan (Beijing) Co., Ltd within a period of 6 months, as well as announcing Morgan Cars’ “China 250 wings” Campaign with WheelsPlusWing to drive more attention to the Morgan brand. The agency was also coordinating with the British embassy in Beijing to have the British Ambassador attending the launch event as the Guest of Honor.

Results

Brief

Britain’s internationally renowned AGA Rangemaster Group, known for 300 years of innovation and design, held its China launch event at China World Hotel in Beijing on 27th March. Guest of Honour Michael Charlton, Minister Counsellor for Trade and Investment, Business Community leaders including China-Britain Business Council and William McGrath, CEO of AGA Rangemaster Group, together with 150 guests as well as media attended the launch event.

Strategy

EASTWEST PR took a tailored approach to raise AGA’s visibility among local media as well as leading bloggers across general business, F&B and lifestyle sectors, drive media coverage and provide a platform for AGA’s spokespeople to deliver the message of AGA’s interests and commitment in China, and is ready to bring a family oriented lifestyle to Chinese consumers.

BriefIn October 2014, Professor Dame Julia Goodfellow, Vice-Chancellor of The University of Kent, one of the top 20 educational institutions in the UK, led a delegation to Beijing to learn more about China’s policies and priorities in higher education in order to inform Kent’s own future direction. EASTWEST PR was appointed to design a three-day China Campaign, and help maximize this visit of activities with both local media and relevant stakeholders for the VC delegation in Beijing.

Strategy

EASTWEST suggested a comprehensive communication approach covering both PR and key stakeholder engagement, to increase Kent’s visibility among local media, drive media coverage and provide a platform for Kent’s spokespeople to deliver the message that Kent is the UK’s European university with focused areas in Science, Social Science and Humanity

UAE Zayed Future Energy Prize China Outreach Campaign

BriefThe Zayed Future Energy Prize, an annual award of $4 million prize, is established by the UAE leadership to recognize and reward excellence in renewable energy and sustainability. Launched in 2008 and managed by Masdar, the Prize represents the vision of the late founding father of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

Approach EASTWEST PR took a holistic communication approach to tackle these challenges from both PR and non-PR perspective. The overall 6 months campaign covered communication through a whole range of media, social media and digital channels, and fully utilized a high profile VIP dinner event that the UAE Embassy held in honour of Mr. Wang Chuanfu, winner of the Zayed Future Energy Prize 2014 Lifetime Achievement Award on May 29th in Beijing.

IEEE is the world’s largest professional association dedicated to advancing technological innovation and excellence for the benefit of humanity. IEEE was looking for PR support in China prior to the Smart Grid Word Forum (SGWF) taking place in Beijing from September 28 to September 29, 2011.

Approach

EASTWEST leveraged creative PR tactics to increase IEEE’s visibility, get coverage for IEEE and IEEE’s spokespeople among Chinese clean energy and mainstream business media outlets, this integrated approach combining online, social networking and media relations.

SolarMax’s Swiss Quality Inverters on Display at the 2012&2013 SNEC ExpoBrief

SolarMax, the world’s leading Swiss manufacturers of grid-connected solar inverters, exhibited at 2013 SNEC PV Power expo in Shanghai. EASTWEST PR was appointed as SolarMax’s local PR agency to build its brand image in the Chinese market around SNEC. Approach

EASTWEST utilized a major exhibition in the PV industry held annually in Shanghai to build SolarMax’s brand visibility among local trade media. SolarMax’s thought leadership in the PV industry was further enhanced through live video interview with SolarMax’s spokesperson. This integrated PR approach included digital and media relations.
