WHERE DO I BEGIN

Solid Research is a foundation for what you write

What do we know about researching so far?

THIS IS

WHAT

WE’VE

BEEN

TALKING

ABOUT

Page 4: Developing content

PICK A TOPIC

Look at sub topics and decide on something that has the

following characteristics

• Long tail keywords aren’t too competitive

• Reasonable search volume

• Find something that is trending on google

• Or, something that has search appeal

• Choose something you can be an expert in.

KEYWORDING

Export a list of keywords around the targeted keyword that

you would like to use.

Work them in NATURALLY! Its better to write something that

is readable by human than something that is readable by

search engines.

BECOME AN EXPERT

ON THE TOPIC

Do you research

If you are putting out wrong information, make sure it’s on

purpose.

However, expert advice isn’t always the only way to write

something

• Humor

• Criticism or Review

• Alternate Opinion

• Negative information (Disney Movie)

LINKING

Make sure that if you use a link you are linking to a high

authority site.

Its okay to reach out and let that site know. (A link back

would be sweet)

Make sure you link using the keywords and not something

random

SYNDICATE IT

Google is trying to stop syndication as an SEO tool

It’s a nice way to get the article ranked and link back to your

site or product

• About

• eHow

• Ask

• Tumblr

• SlideShare The hidden gem!!
