You’ve got mail! But that doesn’t mean you’re going to open it, right? So how
can you be sure that your members will?
Well, we can help! We’ve got a few quick tips for getting “in” with your
members’ inboxes.
Subject line should be relevant, interesting, and accurate
without being too over the top. After all, you don’t want your
email coming across like spam.
An association management system, or AMS can make personalizing emails a breeze by integrating with your database.
You can’t expect your members to do something if you never ask. That’s why
calls-to-action, or CTAs are so important.
CTAs are words or phrases that try to provoke an immediate response, such as
To make your CTAs stand out, try making them bigger, using a different color, or outlining them with extra white space. Check out the example to the right.
Test your email in different email services like Gmail and Outlook.
In addition, test the content of
your email as well. Look for typos, broken links, and clear CTAs.
Experiment with the timing of your emails. Think about when your members are most likely to be sitting at their computers.
