Alan’s research group helps companies understand the link between business intelligence and the customer experience allowing companies to make business decisions that support corporate goals and objectives. Current Research The term “Business Intelligence,” is going through a redesign. The new BI provides an approach to helping individuals bring their organizations business strategy to life by making better decisions and managing performance. The convergence of unstructured and structured information and the need to decrease decision latency by helping employees quickly find actionable information are among the trends influencing BI’s redesign. With a focus on BI’s new frontier, future research will include “Finding the Voice of the Customer in Unstructured Data” and “Using BI to compete in the Free Market Economy.” Experience Alan also serves as an associate faculty member for the University of Phoenix where he facilitates courses in Marketing, eBusiness, and Management Theory. He has contributed numerous articles to trade and business publications and is a frequent presenter with over 25 years of industry experience which covers a broad range of functional areas including sales, sales management, strategic alliances, sales channel design and operations, sales process design and improvement, product management and product marketing. His professional tenure includes companies such as Teradata, SAS, NCR Corporation and Cap Gemini Ernst & Young’s High Growth CRM Consulting practice. Education See holds BBA and MBA degree’s from Abilene Christian University.
