Jasinta, South Africa and Jean Carlo, Philippines

What can you tell us about your hometown?

Jasinta: I’m from South Africa. I love it here. We have so many

diverse cultures all mingled together, everyone is so friendly, the

weather is stunning every day and the lots of the food is com-

pletely unique to SA. We’ve got amazing wildife with so many

nature reserves where you can really be so close to the animals.

You could actually feed some lion clubs at some places! There

are too may places of interest for me to list but my favourite it

Table Mountain. I’ve been up twice and it’s so gorgeous! The

best thing to do on a Sunday (or any day) is hang out with your

family at a braai (what the rest of the world calls a barbeque). I

love living here and I am so PROUDLY SOUTH AFRICAN :-) :-)

JC: Philippines.. hmmm.. we have a lot of tourist destinations, and we are very hospital people. sometimes too much

hospitable…

How did you hear about the guys?

Jasinta: I was watching The Voice US and some-

one sang “Breakeven” and I recognised the

song but I didn’t know who sang it. I was asking

around in my class and my best friend told me

it’s The Script. From them on I listened to them

more and more and just completely fell irrevo-

cably in love with those incredible Irish boys!

Is The Script big in your country?

Jasinta: The Script aren’t as big here as they are in the UK/Ireland but the fanbase is growing wildly and they get played

on local radio stations frequently. When they were here in 2011, they did a show at the Coca-Cola Dome in my city, Jo-

hannesburg and it was The Script’s biggest ever indoor show of 18 300, a record that is yet to be broken… We’re DYING

to have them back to crush it! DYING TO HAVE THEM BACK!

JC: Yep.. a lot of people know The Script and their music. They are everywhere!

Have you met the lads or seen them live?

Jasinta: They were here in 2011 but I wasn’t a fan back then (I HATE that I was-

n’t!), so I am yet to see them live or meet them. I’ve got so many plans if they

come back!

JC: Sad to say, I never got the chance to see them. Never saw them perform live

but I’m hoping to see them next year. I wouldn’t want to miss them for the 3rd

time!

Do you have any favourites?

Jasinta: I love all the boys insanely, but yeah, my favourite is Dan-

ny. He’s absolutely amazing. He’s so caring, sweet, cute, funny

and I LOVE how passionate he is about everything he does, espe-

cially with music, I LOVE how it’s his whole life. I love how ground-

ed he stays and how thankful he (all of them) are for every single

show.

Favorite song is “If You Could See Me Now”. I don’t relate but I

feel it from Dan and Mark. I admire the bare, raw honesty in this

song, that they didn’t hide anything from us. That they are brave

enough to bare their souls for them and also to help other people

in that situation. It just makes them so much more relatable. It’s

“How can I

move on when

I'm still in love

with you?”

JC: I first heard them because of my friend.

She was listening to The Man Who Can’t Be

Moved so I downloaded it to my phone with

some of their other songs and from that day, I

became a huge fan.

real. It’s amazing how they trusted us with this song

that means SO much to them. It’s just The Script. I

love them SO very much and I treasure this song.

Favourite lyric is “Dad, you should see the tours that

I’m on”, because honesty I wish Dan’s dad (It feels

wrong for me to call him just Shay) could see all this.

And it all happened because of him. Him being a role

model to Dan and teaching him everything. It sucks

that he isn’t here to see how amazing his son is and

to tell him directly that he’s proud. I guess it’s again,

the raw honesty of this lyric.

JC: I love them all and their songs. Why choose if you can

have them all.. hahaha ! All of their songs are special, so

yeah, I LOVE THEM ALL!

What’s the craziest thing you’ve done as

a The Script fan?

Jasinta: I haven’t really had the chance to go like REALLY

crazy for the boys, but if they do come back to South Africa,

boy, have I got some plans! Loads of mad plans to give

them the best time here! But for now, the craziest thing was

I literally tweeted random people on my timeline and asked

them to follow Dan to get him to 1M followers. I tweeted

about 300 people, and then I got suspended from twitter :-)

I plan to do the same to get TS to 2M!

JC: The craziest? I’m always crazy when it comes to them!

One time Danny retweeted me. and I was in public at that

time, but I didn’t care how many people were there. I just

screamed and giggled.. hahaha! And everyone was like

“WTF is his problem?”

What do you love the most about The

Script Family?

Jasinta: Best part of The Script Family is all of us sharing

our love for the guys! Getting to know each other and being

there for each other and caring for each other. Being an

actual family. I LOVE how we all come together for the boys

for voting and trending and the music and just spreading

the love. It’s an incredible thing to have people who under-

stand my love and also love The Script insanely! Beyond all

normal boundaries!

JC: The best part is that everyone has the same passion,

bonded by music and common artists. I think we also re-

spect each other, we don’t bash other artists, and we are

very close even though some of us haven’t seen each other

personally. And most of all we are always there to support

one another.

What do you expect from album 4?

Jasinta: For the 4th album, I just know they’ll give us the

amazing, real, soulful music they always give us. Meaning-

ful songs that are gonna give me goosebumps! Music I will

no doubt listen to for the rest of my life (yeah, I’ll be rockin

out to The Script when I’m 90!). I can’t wait for it! It’s gonna

be epic!

JC: Maybe a lot of music for the feet, heart, head and soul

again just like their previous ones !

Y ou guys are the first thing I hear in the morning (my wake up call) and the last thing I listen to at night. Your mu-

sic tells stories that I have faced at some stage in my life so therefore I can relate to them. Every time I hear your

songs a smile comes to my face and if Im having a bad day you lift my spirits. You are down to earth lads none of

this superstar nonsense your feet are well grounded and I like the fact that you appreciate your fans and interact

with them eg: twitter just like normal people. Basically I just love you guys for who you are and love the music you write, produce,

perform, you are truly inspirational. Xxxx

G len, Mark & Danny,

I'm lost for words. I've thought of all the words, all the things, i want to say to you but when it comes down to it, my

mind falls silent and i'm lost for words. The only word i can really say is "Thank you". Just thank you for your music; the

beautiful melodies, inspiring words & awesome rhythm! Thank you for being there and inspiring me. Without you and

your music i would not have had the confidence to chase my dream of becoming a musician .. Just thank you!! I've met so many

amazing people thanks to your music, i've become part of a family, thank you for that.

Oh and Glen thank you for the phone call :)

Love Meg (@druminggirl) xx

My hometown, Milton

Keynes, is a pretty small

town built in 1967 to take

pressure off of London.

London was getting really

overcrowded and Milton

Keynes is halfway between

London and Northampton. It

is famous for having con-

crete cows, lots of rounda-

bouts, buying a football

team so we could have our

own, called the MK Dons.

We have an outdoor music

venue called The Bowl

where huge artists have

played over the years includ-

ing Michael Jackson, Queen,

Take That, Mcfly, Swedish

House Mafia, The Foo Fight-

ers and (playing this sum-

mer) Kings of Leon.

The Script are pretty big in England but at the same time

not - they're not as mainstream artists such as Rihanna

or One Direction so they're not always in the charts for

example. When they go to radio stations it’s mostly just a

small group of us fans who go to meet them.

Tell us a little bit about your town.

Is The Script big in your country? How did you hear about the guys?

I first heard about the guys

thanks to my brother who

is 3 years older than me.

Back in 2008 when we

had to sneak onto the

house computer to use

the internet after school/

college, I was doing my

own thing online when my

brother came back from

college and told me I "HAD

to" check out this band

that he and his mates had

been listening to that day.

So he opened up YouTube

and showed me the music

video for The Man Who

Can't Be Moved and we

watched it a few times.

Later on that day I went

on my laptop and found

the We Cry music video

as well. Then the next

day after school I got my

mum to go to the shops

with me so I could buy

the debut album (seeing

as it was marked Paren-

tal Guidance due to the

swearing in some of the

tracks and I was only 14

at the time). Since then

I'm a huge fan of the

guys of course, my broth-

er not as much but he

still appreciates some of

their songs!

Meeting The Script

I have met the guys a fair few times before/after gigs,

at tv/radio promo times and a couple of times after

they've landed at airports. They've been true gents

and great with the banter every time. I’ve been to see

them play live 21 times so far since 2009! Birming-

ham, London, Bridlington, Brighton, Dublin, Derry,

Auckland, Leicester, Thetford...! Great every single

time :-)

“I’m a huge fan of the

guys of course”

“And though my

edges may be

rough

I never feel I'm

quite enough

It may not seem

like very much

But I'm yours”

A special memory

Danny made me a video

message for my media

teacher when I was in my

2nd year of A Levels saying

to her that he's a "massive

massive massive fan and

friend" of mine after she

had come over to me dur-

ing my media lesson the

day before asking if Danny

knew me, so that was a

pretty epic moment!

Lyrics that mean a lot

'For The First Time' was played on the radio for

the first time on the same day that I met Dan-

ny (who was the first member of The Script I

met) for the first time so it will always be a

significant song.

One of the lyrics that really means a lot to me

is from I'm Yours - the lines "though my edges

may be rough, I never feel I'm quite enough"

and "I know I don't fit in that much" represent

my insecurities. I know I'm not a majorly popu-

lar person and I have musician friends whom I

count myself lucky to know so that I wonder

why they don't mind being friends with a

shy, social outcast like myself.

Also the lines "you wrap your thoughts in

works of art and they're hanging on the

walls of my heart" represent the guys’ songs

(not just The Script's but my other musician

friends' too) and how much some of them

really mean to me / how I can relate to their

songs.

What's the craziest thing

you've done for The Script?

The craziest thing I've done for The

Script would probably be fly to the ex-

act other side of the world to go to

their concert! I flew from London, Eng-

land to Auckland, New Zealand as my

aunt and uncle are too fans of the

band and bought a ticket for me to go

to the concert at the Vector Arena with

them and my cousins. Also I've done

things like bunked school to queue all

day at concerts to get front row and

forked out a fair bit of money to get

last minute trains to London to meet

the guys at radio promo, and at my first

gig I spent about £30 - £40 on gifts for

the guys and crew which I had to get

the venue staff to pass on to Quinner

to pass on to the guys!

What do you love the most about The Script Family?

The best part about The Script family is having people to fangirl with :')

When I first was a fan of the guys not many people understood it really.

My school friends just accepted it pretty much but my family for years

didn't understand how much the guys mean to me and how they're defi-

nitely a positive influence rather than negative. Even people at uni took

the whole of first year to persuade and I don't know if they quite accept it

yet or not. I've never been madly popular at school so having friends all

round the world who I have so much in common with is great and we can

all talk about Scripty stuff comfortably knowing that we won't be judged

for it!

What do you expect from album 4?

I'm expecting album 4 to be just as amazing as the others! It'll show not

only progression in the band but also a clearer emphasis on their roots

like the original album as opposed to #3. It'll be perfect for the fanbase

and not as mainstream as #3 so it'll help to regain their own identity /

re-establish who they are and what they stand for to the public.

The Czech Republic is a small

country in the very heart of Europe,

with a population of 1.3 millions so

very small. I was born and raised

in the north in a small town / larg-

er village called Jilove and studied

in the capital, Prague. Prague is

THE place to see!

Our small country suffered for 40

years due to the communist dicta-

torship but thanks to all the brave

people in 1989 we became a

democratic constitution. Before

that the music scene and culture

in general was very strictly moni-

tored by the authorities, there

was no freedom in any aspects

of life. Luckily that changed and

people can travel the world,

learn languages, have access to

the other cultures.

Unfortunately not. And I hope that is because of the size

of the country. But

there are definitely fans

of The Script. When I

see their posts they

have one thing in com-

mon - they love the lads

and want to see them

live in the Czech Repub-

lic.

Another problem is the

social media. Czech

people really do not do

Twitter. And as we know

Twitter is the place to

How did you hear about the guys?

The Voice UK! I had no

idea who Danny was, and I

didn’t check him out dur-

know why, and am kicking

myself for it now, because

with their music I could

have personally gone

through life obstacles

more easily.

But Dan grew on me dur-

ing the second series of

The Voice and I checked

the Internet, ordered #3,

listened, tweeted from my

private account (my sec-

Script, I swear!) and Glen

started following me

back! I didn't even know

how much the lads use

Twitter. After one listening

of #3 I ordered the other

two albums and since

then I was hooked. So it

was April 2013 :-)

“Before the worst, before we met

Before our hearts decide

It's time to love again

Before too late, before too long

Let's try to take it back

Before it all went wrong ”

What do you love the most about The

Script Family?

It's a fan base like no other. Young ones, old ones, stu-

dents, mums, dads, dogs.... and the music and the way

Mark, Glen and Dan are like, bring us together, no hate,

no silly things, fans are nice to each other.

What do you expect from album 4?

I think Dan mentioned on Twitter it should be back

to the beginning, the as I say 'old skool' Script and

that is something I am looking forward to. I love

Before the worst from that era. And I hope that we

get to hear Glen's voice.

Do you have favourites?

Well, picking my favourite member wouldn't be fair. I can

imagine having Dan as a best mate, Mark as a slightly

older brother (I'm 34) and Glen as someone I would go to

for advice and a smashing cup of tea.

As for songs go Broken Arrow grabs me by guts and I have

“A winner never quits, quitters never win” tattooed on my

forearm.

I haven’t met them yet (that's about to change with the

next European tour) so that moment is still to come.

Brace yourselves!

What's the craziest thing you've done

for The Script?

Photos from prague

Kevin Westenberg had a photoshoot with The Script in

Prague – he takes fabulous photos. It looks like they’re

under a Nusle’s bridge. Unfortunately many people

chosen the bridge as a way to end their lives by jump-

ing off it. There is also one from a train station (with

the train tracks behind boys) that could easily be the

main Wilson’s station in Prague. :-)

I live in a small rural town in the North Island of New Zealand,

which is one of the two big landmasses of the country. My town is

very small, the population is under 3000 but it's nice here, every-

one is friendly . The Lord of the Ring movies were shot not too far

from here which is pretty cool.

Tell us a little bit about your town.

Is The Script big in your country?

How did you hear about the guys?

The Script is huge in New Zealand, especially at my college.

There are a lot of girls who fancy Danny, that's for sure! NZ

loves the lads.

I heard about them when I was listening to the radio, this was

about 2011. Break Even came on and I just fell in love. It actu-

ally made me cry. Ever since then I've been a huge fan of their

music.

Have you met The Script yet?

I haven't met them or been to a gig, which is sad, but they

don't seem to come our way as much as I would love them to.

I'm planning on seeing them if (or more like when) they tour for

#4!

Do you have a favourite?

I don't really do favourites, but I do have a soft spot for Glen, he's

so sweet, and he loves tea which is always a good thing. I always

get so emotional when I listen to Break Even, for obvious reasons.

It's got so much meaning behind it and I feel like I can relate to

every word. It isn't often that a song can move me to tears!

They say bad things happen

for a reason

But no wise words gonna stop

the bleeding

'Cause she's moved on while

I'm still grieving

And when a heart breaks no it don't

break even, even... no

What do you expect from album 4?

I think #4 is gonna blow minds. They're at the peak of their career,

so they'll be trying so hard to give us some amazing, heartfelt piec-

es. Either way, they won't fail us!

What do you love the most about The Script Family?

I love being a part of The Script Family. I don't often get the chance to

talk to people with the same interests as me, so it's a great feeling to

know that I can have a 3 hour conversation with someone on the other

side of the world with a mutual admiration for The Script.

What's the craziest thing you've done for The Script?

I do a lot of weird things for The Script. I once went to

school with lyrics written all over my face in a moment of

appreciation. I got a lot of long stares that day, people

were actually stopping to read them!

MESSAGES

D ear The Script. Dear Danny, Mark and

Glen.

At first I wanna thank you very, very much.

You guys always make me smile! You're one

of the reasons I didn't give up my dreams. Your music is so

full of different meanings. When I listen to your songs I al-

ways think "Yeah. I'm not alone. There is someone out there,

who feels like me." Your music always makes me feel better.

You're such an inspiration to me, guys! My life is better since

I know you. I wish I could meet you someday, but that's near-

ly impossible. Thanks for your good work, keep on going like

now! I'm excited for the 4th album. Can't wait anymore. But

it's definitly worth to wait for it. If you're really going to read

this, I'm the luckiest person on earth. For you I'm just one of

a million fans, but you mean so much to me. You are my he-

roes. Without you I'd probably already had given up. Without

you I hadn't found out who I really am. Who I want to be.

You guys are my idols. I wanna help people like you do. And

without you I wouldn't know the great members of The Script

Family. I could thank you a thousand times and it still

wouldn't be enough...

Lots of love from Austria <3

Hope you're doing well, Magdalena Hutter :)

I don't have a moving story about how your music

has saved my life but I can honestly say that it

and you have touched my heart in ways I never

imagined possible. Until I found The Script I was

never really that into music but I bought the 1st album on the

strength of TMWCBM. There was something that I couldn't

resist but even then I don't think I was ready to open my

heart to music completely as it wasn't until I saw Danny on

The voice that I was reminded of you lads and searched it out

and listened again. This time I was hooked. I fell in love with

the music and the lyrics and couldn't get enough. I bought the

S&F album immediately and then pre-ordered #3. I saw you

at the Shepherds Bush Empire in September 2012 and O2

London in March 2013. One word PHENOMENAL! Not

only have you won yourselves a loyal fan with your music but

also with your humble and genuine personalities. I am proud

I'm from Dublin, Ireland and

I'm living in a town in the

southside called Blackrock.

It’s a great little place right

beside the sea. It’s fairly

peaceful and quite scenic.

It’s well connected to the

city centre via bus and

DART (which is a local train

to live overall I think!

They are indeed! This is their hometown of course!

Luckily I get to hear them on the radio quite often

here and I'd say their biggest hit here is probably

Breakeven or TMWCBM.

Tell us a little bit about your town.

Is The Script big in your country?

How did you hear about the guys?

I can't remember exactly as it was a few years ago

now but it was probably word of mouth or maybe

hearing a song of theirs on the radio.

My mum is actually a huge fan of The Script! She's

been to 3 of their gigs with me including the Aviva

stadium one!

Meeting The Script

I am lucky enough to say that I have met them. I actually flew to

Madrid in January of last year(2013) to go to their gig there. I

knew that if I was ever going to meet them it'd be nearly impos-

sible to do it here in Dublin and since I knew that they try to go

out and meet fans after every gig, I took the risk and went to

Madrid.

The gig ended at about 11pm and I waited around till 2.15am

when they eventually came out and it was worth it 100%! They

were all so nice and just down to earth, I remember Mark get-

ting out of the bus and coming over to me and giving me a big

hug because he said I looked freezing haha! They stuck around

for about 10mins and then had to head off to the next city.

I'm also lucky enough to have seen their Aviva stadium concert

live...that was just incredible and its definitely a concert I will

never forget. I've also seen them in the O2 in Dublin.

Do you have any favourites?

I love the three of them so much and for different reasons too so I

don't think I could pick a 'favourite'.

So many of their songs also have so much meaning for me and have

gotten me through hard times but I will definitely say that my favour-

ite song to hear live is 'The Man Who Can't Be Moved', just watch the

video of that song at the Aviva concert and you'll understand!

What's the craziest thing you've done for The

Script?

It was definitely flying to Madrid just to go to their gig in the hopes of

being able to meet them afterwards!

What do you love the most about The Script Family?

Well for the most part everyone is so supportive and kind to each other!

What do you expect from album 4?

I know that the guys are putting in a lot of effort again into this album so I'm sure it won't disap-

point!!

S ince I was young I've listened to you're music even before i knew who you where WE CRY seems to be the song that that

brings me back from the edge won't go into details but it saved me on more than one occasion when things are good or

bad i know i can always count on you guys to give me hope and strength to carry on and fight another day IYCSMN

helped me deal with the passing of me uncle i never found out till three months after he passed so i never got the chance

to say goodbye WALKAWAY made me realise that no matter how much i really love someone i have to walk away for me own sake

and sanity BROKEN ARROW well i have never had anyone put into words how i feel ever but marky you do it spot on i don't

trust people or let people into what I'm thinking but marky can make me spill me guts just by saying hi how are you now that is a

talent lol i never thought i would ever get the honour of meeting the 3 lads that saved me life i was lucky enough to get the honour

on the 27-9-13 in the best place in the world i started as a fan but you's are no longer Danny Mark and Glen from the script you's

are family that i really couldn't live without having in me life you lads are very special and very precious to all the script family i

really hope Danny and Glen will find someone to share the rest of there life's with that make them happy and fuzzy inside cause

you's deserve all the happiness in the world i could talk all day about how awesome amazing you lads are but really there are NO

WORDS for what you's mean to me so i will end with love and cherish you all for ever and a day xxxxx

London, England. The best thing about it

is probably the city itself, it’s pretty, so

many different places. Plus the shops are

pretty cool, too.

Since Hall Of Fame, and The Voice,

they’ve blown up massively here. I heard

them on the radio only once or twice, but

I don’t really listen to the radio: I got their

songs on shuffle 24/7!

Sophie, where in this scripty world are you from?

Is The Script big in England?

How did you first hear about the lads??

I heard Breakeven when I was a lot younger but I never knew they

were the ones who sung it. I didn’t realise it was a song from The

Script a year after it became a massive song. I was a slow child :)

After that I listened to all the songs on YouTube for ages, until I got

my iPod 2 years ago and bought all the albums.

Meeting The Script

I’ve not met them or seen them live either, hopefully

their next tour! But I talked to Glen on the phone. I

sent my number to him back in June, then he saved it

to his phone and called me on 7th December. My

favourite thing about it was him singing and telling

me I can do anything and that I have the right attitude!

“I’ve got their songs on

shuffle 24/7!”

Which songs are your favourite?

Breakeven is still one of my favourites, it’s one of those songs that will never get old, no matter how many times you

hear it! My favourites vary on which mood I’m in, but I think Bullet from a Gun and Exit Wounds need more recognition.

Broken Arrow as well, definitely!! They’re all full of emotion, all their songs.

Do you have a favourite member?

I love them all so much, but I think everyone knows Glen

is my top dog. :)

This picture killed me :) He’s awesome, I’ve spoken to

him and he’s just such a wise guy, he made me believe I

can do anything.

What do you love the most about The

Script Family?

What do you expect from album 4?

A Glen singing solo! I’m hoping it’s a more chilled vibe,

like Dan said, just with a guitar, singing.

Everyone here is so kind. We all have the same love

for 3 amazing guys, and we all stick together.

You saved me. Thank you. - That's all. :)

Melinda, The Script Quotes, @MelindaMusic

I f I had the chance to meet The Script I would say: thank you. They’ve helped me see that not everything in life is big and

scary, we just have to grab things by the hand and run with them. To be given that opportunity means the world to me,

and that’s all down to The Script. Thank you so much, from every part of my heart, for giving me the opportunity to love

you guys and to be part of The Script Family. Thank you. Love you x x

@alittlescripton

Frederica, USA

Where are you from?

I’m from New York.

How did you hear about the guys?

I first heard The Script on the radio. It was either Breakeven or For

The First Time. I’d say maybe 3 years ago? Certain radio stations

where I’m from play For The First Time often. I gotta work on getting

them to play more songs!

Is The Script big in your coun-

try?

I’d say they’re pretty big here. No matter who

you mention them to, young or old, everyone

has an idea of who you’re talking about. They

almost sold out a big theater here on Long

Island!

Have you met the lads or seen

them live?

Unfortunately I haven’t but I’m going to try to win tickets to see them

this June through the local radio stations!

What’s the craziest thing you’ve done as a The Script fan?

I haven’t met them so I couldn’t do anything crazy but I tweet them really weird things.

Oh and I plan on kidnapping Danny when he comes to NY. I’ll also try to bribe them to

stay at my family’s bed & breakfast in Italy.

What do you love the most about The Script Family?

The fact that we are a family. Some fanbases I’m in just argue all the time so it’s amaz-

ing that everyone here can just be themselves and everyone’s so friendly.

Do you have any favourites?

Ooh that’s difficult! I love all equally honestly!

Danny’s hilarious and super sweet, Glen is an

adorable gooball, and Mark, well what can one

say about Mark? Not to mention they’re all

gorgeous people!

My favorite songs are definitely Science &

Faith, Man Who Can’t Be Moved, and Six De-

grees of Separation.

Elena and Nadine, Germany

Where are you guys from?

Elena: I live in a smaller town (about 20,000 inhabitants) in a southwestern German

Region named Palatinate, near Mannheim/Heidelberg.

Nadine: I live in Germany in a village called Leimen, which is near Heidelberg. Heidel-

berg is known for the oldest University in Germany, the Heidelberger Castle and has a

lovely historic city centre.

Is The Script big in your country?

Elena: Their first two records haven’t been that big here, but “Hall of Fame” is the title

track of “Kokowääh 2”, which is a very successful German film, so the band got a bit more recognition.

Nadine: I wouldn’t say that they’re really big, but Hall of Fame definitely made them more known in Germany, thanks

Til Schweiger ;) Don’t know what’s wrong with the Germans there, they should be huge!

How did you hear about the guys?

Elena: I listened to “We Cry”

on the radio back in the sum-

mer of 2008, watched the

video on YouTube, bought

the single, got the album for

Christmas… That was it then.

Their music always cheers

me up when I’m feeling down

or supports my mood to get

even better, depending on

the song.

Have you met them or been to a gig?

Elena: Not yet, hopefully on their next tour. The Script have been in my area on a festival in 2008. I wasn’t there,

because… well… I was 12 back then.

Nadine: No I’ve never met them or been to a gig. I decided to travel to Leeds last year. Took me almost 10 hours to

get there, but we all know what happened then.

Do you have a favourite member/song/lyric?

Elena: Favourite member and song changes almost every day;

fave lyric is “I’m sick of looking for those heroes in the sky, to

teach us how to fly, together we cry”, but I also love loads of the

others.

Nadine: I love all of the guys, but I have to say, that I immediately

liked Dan when I saw him in 2009, so this didn’t change. Favour-

ite song and lyric are tough. I think they depend on the mood I

am in and there are so many favourite lyrics, where should I

start? Well, I guess Broken Arrow is really special to me, I can’t

explain why, it’s just a feeling that I have when I listen to this

song.

“There's so much

sad gonna flood

the ocean

We're all in tears

for a world that's

broken

Together We

Cry”

Nadine: The first time I’ve heard of them was back in

2008/9 not sure anymore. Back then I used to live in Aus-

tria and there was this music channel called “gotv” and

they played new music, nothing that was played on MTV

and that’s where I saw We Cry the first time and completely

fell in love with this song. So I downloaded a few songs and

looked them up on the internet. In summer of 2009 I had

the chance to live in Ireland for 3 months and I remember

seeing an article in the newspapers about a concert, but I

had to work. After that I kind of lost track and gladly found

my way back to them in 2012/13.

Page 15: The Script Around The World - interviews with fans of The Script

P a g e 1 5 M a r c h , 2 0 1 4

What do you expect from album 4?

Elena: I hope The Script don’t turn into that everyday

mainstream stuff you get to hear on the radio every

day, and maintain their inspiring lyrics.

Nadine: I think the lads have done a great job so far when

it comes to writing music and all I want is that they stay

true to who they are. Maybe a bit more rock’n’roll! An

acoustic version of a song would be pretty cool as well and

for the rest I think, they’ll put a lot of emotion in their

songs as they always do.

What’s the craziest thing you’ve done

for TS?

Elena: Well… I havent’t been to any of their gigs so far, I

don’t have any of their lyrics tattooed, so… I must admit…

nothing.

Nadine: Don’t know if you can call that crazy, but travelling

to Leeds all the way from Germany just to see a band was

pretty crazy for me! Oh and I have a broken arrow tattoo

with the initials of the band in it.

What’s the best part of being in The

Script family?

Elena: There are people from all over the world sharing

one passion, I love that.

Nadine: That it’s really like a family. When I have a bad

day/ week, I can always count on them and I know I’ll feel

better in the end. Everyone is so caring and we’re always

having a proper laugh. They make me feel at home and

loved in my darkest moments, I can be myself and don’t

have to be afraid that they’ll throw hate at me. I’ve met a

lot of wonderful and talented people from whom I can

learn so many things and I can truly call my friends.

M y story is rather boring but here it is.

I have never met any of the lads, been to any of their gigs or even seen them from a far. I had heard some of

their music from the first and second albums but never knew who they were I just knew I liked it. The first

time I ever saw who they were was when Danny was on The Voice and a friend of mine told me to watch it as

she was enjoying the show so I did. Danny’s complete devotion to music and the fact that he eats, sleeps and breaths it lead me to

go back and find their music and really listen to it. I found that I was able to escape the hum drum of normal life and stress of

work by hearing their words and being able to take some of their songs and associate it with parts of my life past and present. I

was sold from that point!

Thanks to The Script I have gained some amazing friends from the cray universe of Twitter and even met some of them too.

Thanks to the lads I have expanded my little world to include the whole of it from here in Yorkshire to the far end of Australia!!!

When they released #3 I ordered it straight away and like the other 2 albums I loved it. I know this little tale is not in direct

relation to meeting them or anything but if it wasn’t for The Script and their amazing music I wouldn’t have met my new friends

so I have to say thank you to them for that. I shall be rectifying the fact I have never seen them live this year hopefully too and

meet some more of my girls, that includes you huni, when we all tour round the UK and Ireland to see them like sad little group-

ies!!!!

Boring story over now :))

Melinda, Transylvania

Melinda, can you tell us a little of where

in the scripty world are you located?

I am from Romania, but I am actually Hungarian. Romania

is beautiful I just never had the chance to travel around it to

see the beautiful Transylvania. The places. The stunning

nature. I am living in a village. This is next to it.

There are lots of beautiful buildings. This is my university.

That’s all this country can give…and țuica. That’s a drink.

How did you hear about

the guys?

It was in 2011 – I was at my best

friend’s house who’d been a fan

since 2008 and I heard Science and

Faith. I listened to the whole album

and I was like: How in the hell I’ve

never heard of them?! I fell in love

with them instantly.

Is The Script big in that

corner of the world?

Since Hall of Fame, they are. And

some people heard about Breake-

ven too. Thanks to my page lots of people met their music

now. They’re played on the radio, mostly HOF but I heard

Six Degrees, Millionaires and Breakeven, too.

Have you ever met them or been to a gig

yet?

Nope. Not yet. But I want to meet them so bad. Next year I

want to (desperately) go to London. Hopefully they will have

a gig there.

Do you have a favourite song or lyric?

Hard choice. Really hard. Maybe ‘It’s harder to smell the

roses when the sun don’t shine…’ Broken Arrow is breath-

taking. Danny admitted on Twitter that they made a video

for it. I would LOVE to see it.

As for the lads, I love them equally.

What crazy things have you done for the

lads?

Hmm. I sang Hall Of Fame in the front of 30 kids and 6

teachers in an English class. I also did a university project

with Danny’s face!

What do you expect from album 4?

Back to the basics. I hope they will use the same vibe they

used on the first two albums. Inspiring, breath-taking,

meaningful, flawless, something to listen to in every situa-

tion.

What do you love the most about The

Script Family?

Unconditional love. When you say: I am a Scriptette every-

body is welcoming you with love not matter what.

“Tried to break

love to a science

In an act of

pure defiance

I broke her

some of my greatest friends if it weren't for you.

You help me at my lowest points and it's always such a pleasure meeting and hanging out with you at radio promos and pre/post gigs etc, You're so down to Earth and I

really appreciate the effort you put in for this fanbase.

You gave me faith in the music industry when it seemed like it was too generic to be saved and you've helped open my mind up to more new music - the amount of small/unsigned/largely un-known artists on my iTunes is probably more than half of the

songs on there and I currently have 1523 songs on there!!

You've made me much more well travelled and I can say that I am truly living life. You've helped inspire me with my university and career options - I am currently over halfway through my 2nd year of a Music and Media Management course and I am

Page 18: The Script Around The World - interviews with fans of The Script

I wanted them to know how grateful I am for their music. One day I came to my phone's music downloader and typed in "A

man who can't be moved" because it's the only song I knew from them. And it appeared not just that song but the rest of The

Script's. I scrolled over and saw the titles. Out of nowhere I downloaded it all not thinking if it was all good or whatever.

At first I didn't played it. I even almost forgot that I downloaded it.

Not until my classmate, Carmine, asked for my phone for music sharing and she saw this list of all The Script. She asked if I can share

it to her, so I said okay. Then I heard them singing "For the first time". After hearing it, I immediately turned to my phone and listened

to it for how many times? oh my god I forgot! Then I start sending group messages with few lyrics of their songs depending on my emo-

tion. Im starting to like their song by this time. Then this Carmine, replied to me about how she loves The Script. Carmine, the name for

a shade of red. I gave her that nickname because I was confuse on how to pronounce her real name. She was the girl that I love.

And yes, Im a bi. I dont know if thats acceptable. The eyes of the world is piercing, but I love her. I love her anyway. Even she can't

love me because everyone knows it's wrong. But we have our own infinity. I knew this is going nowhere but I can't just unlove some-

body I truly love just because I was restrained with worldy concept of love. Mine isnt about physical attractions but more of something

eternal. So going back, I shared all The Script songs from my phone to hers. Time goes by and the girl that once have been just my class-

mate, turned to be my friend and with that we became partners in school stuffs.

We were architecture students and we make plates over night and study over day. haha So there came this few plates, one by partner

and two by individuals, but we choose to make it together. And because there is no available house to make it, we chose to make it

everynight at a convenience store inside the walls of Intramuros, near Manila Cathedral. Everytime we do plates, we played their songs

and it inspires us to do better. Because we really love their songs. I never knew I could listen to a song over and over again not until she

gave me a reason for doing it. She made me listen to The Script and that to me was one of the greatest things she imparted me.

Every night when we walk through the streets of that so-called walled city of Intramuros just go to convenience to store or go home

from there, we sang out loud. I play a song to my phone and we sing together like there's no tomorrow regardless if she's out of tune, I

love it. It's like we loose ourselves the moment we were singing their songs from our hearts...songs like "Science and Faith", "Talk You

Down", "Nothing", "Glowing", "For the first time" and "This=Love". And then one night of some bit of tragedy, I bursted out my emo-

tions and said to her, "Why cant you just say "Walk Away" to me? so this will be all over so I wont be hanging for something uncer-

tain." I was surprised, I didnt expect her answer. "Why would I? can't it just be "We Cry"?

I really like that conversation made...of how she answered me with another song from the band we both love. And from that moment

then on, I knew The Script will always be this only band that I love and I can never find such other music like their's that can articu-

late my emotions as closely. I hope they make a song out of our story about how Carmine made me listen to them and how uncertain this

world can be and if only the eyes of world is not piercing...*sigh*

I have to say this again..

I am so grateful for their music.

I know...

Roses do fade and youth don't last,

But I believe in love and trust.

Oh I only love you for "today",

and until all my tomorrows become that day.

I love you The Script!

Thanks for the music and the love that I found with it.

D ear Danny, Mark and Glen,

So much has to be said in so little words and I

can't even find words to express what I have

to say. You guys literally changed my whole

life. In just one song.

I was in depression over my elder brother's death (he was study-

ing in Dublin). I loved him a LOT and losing him was just too

hard for me. I thought it was the end for me. I thought I'd never

be happy again. On a particularly low night, I was listening to

songs and I heard "If you could see me now". I can never ever

explain what that song meant to me. It was just so SO power-

ful. I cried straight for two days after listening to it. And when

I stopped crying, I knew I'd never cry again.

From that day onwards, I downloaded every single one of your

songs. Each and every song is just so honest and so so pure. The

lyrics are just out of this world. An ideal day for me would be

putting my headphones on full volume and listening to your

songs all day. Pure bliss.

You guys are my best friends. Your songs keep me company when

I'm lonely, they cheer me up when I'm morose, they give me peace

of mind when I need it, they speak my heart out when I feel

holed in, they make me feel so so much better about myself and

they are a constant reminder that everything is gonna be okay.

Your songs also gave me a family. The Script family :') We sing

together, we laugh together and together we cry :') Millions of

hearts beating as one at every beat of your songs and every lyric

flowing through our veins. It's just beautiful.

Unfortunately, since I live in India, I can't see you guys live or

talk to you guys face to face (unless you take a tour of India, of

course) so it's a comfort to know that I have at least /some/ way

to speak my heart out to you guys. I can never ever thank you

guys enough. Your music means the world to me and I hope you

keep going on and on for many many years to come.

Sincerely,

Nimisha, @AllMissingNow

Y our music has given me a home. A home consist-

ing of sounds & lyrics that touch me deep with-

in my soul. A home where I can be me again

and find myself, for I have been lost for many

years. A home that opened up my creative side and made me

start to write again. A home where I can get past all my grieves

& pain and are able to share. A home where I have found many

new and like-minded acquaintances and friends. A home to a

whole new family.

And all because of you three, well actually four, because for me

Ben is a part of you and who you are, even though you once

started out as a trio.

It's not just your music, it's not just the time you spent on twit-

ter, it's not just about the ratings, the awards, the voice and

what not. All that would not be so powerful if it weren't for

your unique personalities with it's differences and similarities at

the same time.

You have won me over and I hope to be a part of your journey

for a very, very long time. See you soon at one of your gigs, I

have to play catch up for a bit :).

Birgit van der Zande @birgitvdz

A n Irish trio of dulcet voices,

Bringing together people of different backgrounds,

countries and choices

People may try, but no-one can mimic

The powerful, passionate heartfelt lyrics

Giving feeling of joy to cascading tears

To welcomed comfort and destroying all fears

The immense passion burning through your veins

A combination of love and life’s hurtful pain

Full of Faith, Hope and determination

Bringing your dreams to a final realisation

Three beautiful souls and beautiful men

Encased by the love of many an adoring fan

Never stop believing what you bring to the floor

The voices, Lyrics and music score that penetrate deep to the

core

This token tribute I give to you
