The Most Effective Way to Fluff Down Duvets http://www.snowbedding.com/blog/

A quality down duvet (at times known as a comforter) will keep going quite a while if legitimately nurtured. When used, down has a tendency to clump inside the duvet, so that it can be lumpy and lopsided. Every day fluffing allows your duvet to be refreshing.

Things required

Down duvet, duvet cover removed if necessary

Tennis balls or dryer balls (discretionary)

Fluffing in a machine

Dry your duvet on low/no heat/fluff cycle in your dryer (the setting name relies upon your dryer).

Get rid of the duvet and deliberately shake it to redistribute the down each half hour of the dryer cycle. Two clean tennis balls or dryer balls can be added too to the cycle rather than getting rid of the duvet to fluff.

Fluff the duvet day by day or when it is required. Deliberately shake the duvet until the feathers (down) are uniformly covered and there are no clumps.

Tips & Prompts

Air dry down duvets outside on a clothesline half a year to remove dust mites and freshen the down. The mites can be killed by air drying in cold weather. Fluff the duvet according to directions.

If you can’t fluff the duvet and feathers are clumped, the down in the duvet is wet and should be dried completely.

Don’t dry clean your down duvet. The chemicals utilized as a part of the dry cleaning procedure can harm the fiber and tangle the down together.
