Types of hormones

SOME DIFFERENT TYPES OF HORMONES ARE

RELEASING HORMONE-THYROTROPIN SECRETED BY THE PITUITARY G.

GROWTH HORMONE- OXYTOCIN- IS A POWERFUL HORMONE AND ACTS AS A NEUROTRANSMITTER IN THE BRAIN. WHEN WE HUG OR KISS A LOVED ONE, OXYTOCIN LEVELS INCREASE. THYROXINE-IS THE MAIN HORMONE SECRETED INTO THE BLOODSTREAM BY THE THYROID GLAND. IT PLAYS VITAL ROLES IN DIGESTION, HEART AND MUSCLE FUNCTION, BRAIN DEVELOPMENT AND MAINTENANCE OF BONES. CALCITONIN - IS A HORMONE SECRETED BY THE THYROID GLAND THAT REDUCES THE CONCENTRATION OF BLOOD CALCIUM LEVEL

INSULIN-IS A HORMONE MADE BY THE PANCREAS THAT ALLOWS YOUR BODY TO USE SUGAR (GLUCOSE) FROM CARBOHYDRATES IN THE FOOD THAT YOU EAT FOR ENERGY OR TO STORE GLUCOSE FOR FUTURE USE. INSULIN HELPS KEEPS YOUR BLOOD SUGAR LEVEL FROM GETTING TOO HIGH.

HORMONES ARE RELEASED FROM VARIOUS ENDOCRINE GLANDS TO SERVE DIFFERENT FUNCTIONS IN THE BODY.

Deep Breathing

In order to have good blood, we must breathe well. Full, deep inspirations of pure air which fill the lungs with oxygen, purify the blood. They impart to it a bright color, and send it, a life-giving current, to every part of the body. A good respiration soothes the nerves; it stimulates the appetite and renders digestion more perfect; and it induces sound, refreshing sleep.--
