A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away....

Episode VThe Empire Strikes Back

It is a dark time for the Rebellion. Although the Death Star has been destroyed, Imperial troops have driven the Rebel forces from their hidden base and pursued them across the galaxy.

Evading the dreaded Imperial Starfleet, a group of freedom fighters led by Luke Skywalker has established a new secret base on the remote ice world of Hoth.

The evil lord Darth Vader, obsessed with finding young Skywalker, has dispatched thousands of remote probes into the far reaches of space....

An Imperial Star Destroyer dispatched by the Sith Lord Darth Vader, continuing his quest for Luke Skywalker, launches thousands of probe droids across the galaxy, one of which lands on Hoth and begins its survey of the planet.

Whilst finishing his patrol, Luke Skywalker notices a meteorite hitting the ground not far from him. He reports to base that hell go and check it out but gets knocked unconscious from his tauntaun by a fierce wampa.

When he regains consciousness he finds himself hanging from the ceiling of an ice cave and in front of him theres the wampa eating his tauntaun.

Luke manages to cut himself free with his lightsaber and cut off the wampas arm. He then quickly escapes the wounded beast into the cold night of Hoth.Luke then tries to find his way to the base but gets lost in the heavy blizzard and collapses in the snow from severe hypothermia.His friend Han Solo sets out to look for Luke after not hearing from him for a while. He finds Luke barely alive, covered by snow.

He cuts open his tauntaun using Lukes lightsaber and places Luke in it.They are forced to spend the night outside in the harsh weather .The pair are later rescued by rest of the rebel forces who set out in the morning to look for them. After in the base Princess Leia confronts Han Solo on his decision to leave rebel forces but their confrontation is short lived because sensors placed by the rebels indicate that theres an Imperial fleet closing in to their location.

Before the rebels even had a chance to react to the impending assault by Empires forces, the Empire had already launched their massive AT-AT vehicles to the ground to take out the rebels shield generators.The rebels, with Luke Skywalker in the lead, tried to fend off the massive invasion but with little success. The rebel forces were chased away from their new home on Hoth and our heroes found themselves scattered across the galaxy.

Our young Luke Skywalker, accompanied by his trusty droid R2D2, left for the Dagobah System to find the last living Jedi Master, Master Yoda, to learn the ancient Jedi ways.

Meanwhile our other heroes, Han Solo with his trusty partner Chewie and princess Leia were fighting for their lives among an asteroid field trying to escape the Star Destroyer onboard Han Solos ship Millennium Falcon, often referred to as the fastest ship in the galaxy.

Unfortunately during the escape the Millennium Falcon sustained heavy injuries to its hyperdrive and needed immediate repairs. Han Solo decided to go and visit his friend in Cloud City on the planet Bespin.

Upon arrival he was welcomed with open arms by his friend Lando Calrissian who also happened to own the city.Little did they know that the Sith lord, Darth Vader had already beaten them to Cloud City and had made a deal with Lando to give them up in change of gaining neutrality from the Empires forces

Now, by that time Luke had spent weeks training with Yoda, the legendary Jedi Master.And it was due to that training that Luke was able to sense that his friends were being tortured by the evil Sith lord, Vader.

Luke despite the teachings of Yoda decided to go to the planet Bespin to try to save his friends.

Realizing that Lord Vader was never going to hold up his end of the bargain Lando had a change of heart and helped Chewie and Leia escape.

Unfortunatly it was already too late to help Han Solo because Lord Vader had already given him to a bounty hunter named Boba Fett.

Arriving safely to the Cloud City, Luke started to look for his friends. He made his way to a carbon freezing room where he met Darth Vader. The two started fighting fiercely through out the complex but ultimately Luke wasnt a match to Darth Vaders prowess.

Having driven Luke in to a corner Darth Vader cut off Lukes hand with his lightsaber

Darth Vader as a last measure to try and save Lukes life reveals to him that HE is in fact his father and offered Luke, for the last time, to join the Dark Side.Luke baffled and cornered by Lord Vader decides to jump off the ledge.

While in freefall Luke manages to move himself near the exhaust ports of the flying city. They suck him in and throw him outside, under the massive structure where he luckily manages to grab hold of an antenna. He uses telepathy to reach out to Leia and tells her where he is.

Lando, Leia and Chewie go back for Luke and manage to escape Darth Vaders forces.

Lando takes Luke and Leia to a rebel spaceship to get medical attention.There Luke is given a new prosthetic hand.

Lando and Chewie set out to find where Han Solo was taken.
