Skirt SWOT Analysis• Item Description: Knee length ruffle detailed Women’s career bottom. • Strengths:
– The skirt has shape, to make the consumer look more feminine. – The ruffles give the skirt style. – The fabric that is used is easy to care for.
• Weaknesses:– The price range. – There is a limited selection of colors. – The style only appeals to a certain target market.
• Opportunities:– Because the price range is relatively high we can change the fabric to a
nicer fabric. – Present more feminine attributes to the skirt. – Add more broad colors to the skirt.
• Threats:– Some women do not like ruffles and want a more basic skirt. – Price could be a threat because of the current fabrics being used. Women in
this target market are looking for better quality fabric.– The length of the skirt does not appeal to a younger demographic.
2012 Line Direction
• Our line is all about bringing femininity to the office. • We chose very feminine soft colors of pinks and purples along
with neutrals that allows them to mix and match between the pieces.
• Staying along with classic styles on the jacket, skirt, and tank top allows the consumer to wear these pieces on through next season.
• Staying with simple silhouettes allows the consumer to feel feminine while still fashionable in the workplace.
• Along with making an outfit with the pieces within the line the consumer also has the ability to fix the pieces within our own wardrobe.
