I had 3 deep runs in the 7 events I played. I felt like there was a lot of value in all the

events and would compare them far more to events played at the WSOP than an EPT in terms of toughness. It was a pleasure to

see how much pure enjoyment and fun was had by both professionals but

especially the amateurs at the Aussie Millions.

I fold under the gun with 2 cards and the hand starts off usually enough. A raise to 100 followed by 3 calls including Rob Yong in the

small blind. The big blind then squeezes to 450. Everyone calls to Rob in the small blind and Rob starts tanking and talking. Now

unbeknownst to me Rob and the big blind had quite a bit of history at the poker table leading to some hard feelings between them. After about 6 minutes of Rob tanking and talking obviously getting on the

big blinds nerves Rob goes all in for £8.5k effective.

The Cash Game

I’m a big believer into turning mistakes into positives and went back my apartment to try and get some sleep before the six-max. I tossed and turned

and while unable to get any sleep did feel a bit more rested.

As I was lying in bed last night watching Phil Galfond videos on RunItOnce I thought to myself “I should really have to justify my

plays more.” Too often I find myself making a play that I don’t really have any (at least in real time) justified reasoning for. I

decided to rectify that and record a short video of me playing.

My Goal Was to Get Patrick the Best Deal Possible

I believe Patrick had a strong position going into the deal. He had more headsup

experience at both short and deep stack depths, momentum and obviously a 4-1 chip

lead.Negotiations were slow and arduous, Patrick wanted more money and Will didn’t

want to budge much. All signs looked like we were going to play; and then I had an idea.
