Abstract:The research is on part time earning strategies ofDhaka university students, present status andtheir preferences about the working pattern andtime limit. 200 students from each of the fourfaculties are to be chosen as respondent.Implementation of new opportunities andarranging training is the main purpose of thestudy. 5. Introduction:Most of the University students prefer to do something forearning to maintain their expenditure. Students from poorand middle class families are verily in need of earningduring studentship to continue their academic study. But,maximum job fields are for full day workers in which thereis no scope to attend classes. So students go for tuitionand other part time jobs to work for a maximum of 4-6hours.Students prefer private tuition as part time earning way asthere is no requirement of long period of time. Sometimesthey dont find any other way rather than this. Sometimesthey go for evening jobs to any organization which may beof tough bindings. These jobs can also make hamper totheir studies. Many oppose to students earning with theopinion that it can have bad impact on their academicresult. Literature review:To conduct the research, we have reviewed a numberof works done on this topic. We have searched foronline journals, articles, research report on studentsin earning. We have searched for the professionalchoices of students throughout the world. There is nosuch relevant thing in Bangladesh perspectives, butUS and UK have a number of research articles on thistopic. University students involved in part timeemployment have been the focus of studies in the UKfor a number of years. (Curtis and Lucas 2001; Kelly,1999; Lucas and Lammont , 1998; Watts andPickering, 2000). The negative effects on academicprogress of full time students involving in part timeactivities have described by Watts andPickering,2000. Lucas and Lammont focused on 8. Hypothesis:Maximum students are willing for earning duringstudent life, but a greater number of them do notget the proper opportunity due to lack of specificprofessional knowledge 9. Research questions:Which type of jobs are suitable for students?What does a student chose for his/her part timeearning?For how many hours he/she is willing to work forearning purpose?Does he/she want to receive any professionaltraining?Which type of training will be more effective forstudents? 10. Research Design:Methodology - The research will take place insurvey method. Qualitative data will be gatheredfor this research. Our ultimate goal is to reach tothe students of different faculty of DhakaUniversity and get introduced to their part timeearning strategies along with their opinion toimprove that without hampering their study. So,we have decided to make a brief qualitativesurvey. 11. Research design(.):Data Collection Technique -Data will begathered with structured questionnaires which willcontain approximately 12 questions. Ten of themwill be selective and the rest two will bedescriptive with opinions.Sampling - Samples will be chosen faculty wise.We have decided to reach the four individualfaculties of Dhaka University and then chose theinterviewees in simple random sampling. At least200 students will be chosen as respondent fromeach of the faculties. 12. Data analysis:The major part of the data received will beanalyzed using both descriptive statistical methodand Statistical Package for the Social Sciences(SPSS). Opinions will be viewed manually to geta clear concept and make a decision. 13.
