One of the things that most people rant and rave about in regards to the Nikon Monarch binoculars is the fact that the focus knob is almost over-sized, allowing you to quickly and easily snap into focus with just a quick turn of the dial.

Nikon Monarch Binoculars ReviewIn fact, just 1 ¼ turns allow you to go from close focus all the way up to the highest possible level – with infinite flexibility in between so you get razor-sharp focus on the fly every single time.

You’ll also appreciate just how smooth the focusing wheel is under operation, while at the same time still being able to “catch” when you want to lock in on a particular focus point.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

A clear improvement over the Monarch 3 that I have compared them to. Subjectively, I would say about 5-10% clearer and more pleasant to look through than the Monarch 3. And similarly about 5-10% behind an expensive pair of Swarovski. For a fifth of the price, I think that is very good value for money. They feel very good in the hand, and around the neck (a super nice strap they come with), are very easy to use, and that they in addition are scratch- and waterproof is really practical. Have taken all the caps off, since they are mostly in the way. All in all, I am very happy with the binoculars.
