badge and seats. Aslo all entry work must be submitted to the entry regitration desk separately. 2. Competitors who only apply for entry competitions must register at competitor registration desk. (If groop registration

Nailympics Asia 2012 Schedule-27th


1. Competitions are open to who sastisfies following requirements and applies to the competitions properly. • Beginner : is for any enrolled student of colleges or high schools in South Korea (applicants must submit the proof of enrollment.) • Division 1 APPRENTICE : is for (1) any enrolled student of colleges or high schools in South Korea, if individually applies to the competitions; OR (2) any individual, including enrolled students of institutes, if has not been awarded from any nail art compeitions. 1) Competition will be started from taking off the polish manicured. 2) Dry manicure is prohibited. (Tools, model’s hands must be sterilized.) 3) Change to square-off shape. (After using file, the file must be thrown to trash bag.) 4) Nails must be manicured twice with white, nude-pink or nude-beige polishes only 5) Manicure top coat. (No oil is allowed.) 6) Massage is not considered. • Division 3 MASTER : is for professional nail techincians who has been awarded the first to third prizes from any nail art competitions. 2. A competitor will be disqualified if the competitor intentionally or recklessly applies to the lower level of divisions and then is found

later. (The application to the higher level of the divisions is allowed.) 3. Competitors must specify the division they are entering that they are entering when the application form is completed. Once a com-

petitor has registered, the cannot change divisions. A competitor cannot apply to multiple divisions. 4. The Nailympics Asia reserves the right to refuse entry to any competitor. 5. Competitors must use a live model and arrange for their won model. The use of nail molds is strictly prohibited. 6. Competitors and models must be present for the briefing, scheduled 10 minutes prior to the start of each competitions. 7. Once the briefing starts, competitors shall not touch their model’s hands until competition begins. If any competitor touches the

model’s hands after the briefing and before the start of the copetition, the competitor’s final score will be deducted. Competitors will be allowed to set up their tools and products during the competition briefing.

8. All products must be clearly labeled. Hand written lables are acceptable. ex) Monomer, Polymer, Acetone..

9. Competitors must bring all necessary electrical supplies, including table lamp, UV lamp, extension cord and adaptors if necessary. Nailympics Asia provides one electrical outlet(s) per competitor.

10. Only competitors and models are allowed to enter into the competition floor. However, translators are allowed to enter the competiton floor when the communication with competitors is necessary after the steering committee’s permission.

11. Nailympics Asia is not responsible for any competitor not adhering to or not understanding every rule.12. No smoking and eating is allowed on the competition floor. Non-alcoholic drinks are allowed.13. Once the allotted time is up, competitors must immediately stop working and follow the steering committee’s instruction. Any com-

petitor found still working on their model after the close of the competition will be disqualified. 14. Competitors are responsible for making certain their model underderstand that their nails must be judged by each and all designated

judges. 15. Nailympics Asia is not responsible for the left-out score in the case of any model leaving the judging area prior to being judged. 16. Any competitor not abiding by the Rules of Nailympics Asia (the “”Rules””) will take whatever point deduction is allowed in the Rules.

For those rules not specifying a point deduction, there will be one warning, a 5 point deduction for the next infringement, and disquali-fication for the third infringement.

17. Each division will have overall division winner - the Winner Of Winners. The Winner of Winners will be granted to whom have the high-est final score combined from:

• Beginner : 1 category of PART1, 1 category of PART2 or PART3, and 2 categories of PART 4. • Division1/Division2 /Division 3 : 1 category of PART1, 1 category of PART2, 1 category of PART 3, and 1 categories of PART 4. 18. Universal and commonsensical standards will apply to other manners or rules not specified in the Rules of Nailympics Asia.19. As an international competition participant, all competitor shall respect all rule and manner of competition.20. No refunds of competition fees are given. Application form is not returnable. 21. Judges’ decisions are final.

Nailympics Asia 2012 General Rules



22. In the case of any dispute or tie in scores effecting prizes, the international head judge, the Asia head judge, Asia vice head judges will make a decision.

23. Score sheets will be available for all competitors. For international competitors, upon a request, the score sheets will be sent to the representatives of the team via e-mail.

24. All photos/ video taken by Nailympics Asia personnel or contractors are the sole property of the Nailympics Asia to be used in what-ever fashion deemed appropriate by the Nailympics Asia without compensation to competitors or models.

25. The rules are provided in Korean and English. The competitions are conducted in Korean and English. 26. Competitors not understanding Korean fluently may supply their own translator for their convenience. 27. Competitors not understanding Korean or English fluently must read over the rules with translators, prior to the competiton breifing,

to assure the competitors understands all rules.

Preparation1. Model’s nails : - not be cared at least 7 days. - Two repaired nails will be allowed. (Materials do not matter.) - Shape must be square or square-off. The length of nails does

not matter. - Nails must be manicured with red cream polish before the

competitions. (Nails must be manicured twice. A bit of taking off polish may not be considered.

Materials 1. Preparation :- Tools are must be set and sterilized. All products with top must

be clearly labeled. - All materials related manicuring may be allowed. (cuticle

remover, oil, cream etc.) 2. Use : Use only red cream color polish.

Rules1. Competition will be started from taking off the polish mani-

cured. 2. Dry manicure is prohibited. (Tools, model’s hands and com-

petitor’s hands must be sterilized.) 3. Change to round shape. (After using file, the file must be

thrown to trash bag.) 4. Nails must be manicured twice with read cream polish only5. Manicure top coat. (No oil is allowed.)6. Massage is not considered.

model’s nails. - Shape must be well accepted at salons. 2. Prio to the competition:- Prepare with one color base (gradation, glitter is not allowed.)

Materials 1. Use :- Acrylic system, gel system, paints or airbrush - Any product ordinarily used at salons may be allowed. (Design

sticker is not allowed.)
