Target Audience

The target audience for my magazine will be mainly those aged twenty upwards. the social grading of the majority of the audience would be: A, B and C1. This is because, from my case studies I found that this is the main demographic for people buying music magazines, this was shown in both the Kerrang! and Uncut magazine media kits. The psychographic groups that are more likely to buy a music magazine is the explorer as they would definitely be one of the first people to purchase my magazine if it is new, this will then allow it to expand as they will help create more social presence for it. However, as this group is mainly comprised of younger people it would be a good idea to set up social media accounts for it so it can be discover quicker. Furthermore, the mainstreamer may also start using my magazine if there was interviews with people at the top of the genre(i.e the more known and popular artists/bands). Also, the magazine would have to become more popular for them to try it out. Furthermore, it will have to be those who are interested in Indie Rock

Possible Questions for DPS: How did you rise to fame? (Specific details) What motivates/inspires you to write your songs? Was your family always supportive? Have you ever had any memorable experiences with fans? Are planning any tours? Are you planning on going into any other genres of music? What do you consider your worst trait? How long have you known the other members of the band?*

I would also ask other questions not relating to his/her career, to make the interview more interesting (Page17/18 in Kerrang!)
